Rest of the build can be found at https://pcpartpicker.com/b/Q2HNnQ

If you're not going to put any drives in the front top drive cage, you might want to remove it. You'll have better airflow.

What are the brackets just above the psu for? [edit: nevermind, they're ssd mounts]

Ditto remove those brackets, if they're empty, for the same reason.

I left them in there so I didn't lose them smile.gif

I can remove the one that would block the 2nd fan....just didn't like the "look" of the empty space....

Any update on this? How would it fit exactly? Would you need to punch out that perforated section that is beside the horizontal PCI slots?

I can't seem to figure this case out and how to buy the spec I want in the UK... Coolermaster EU site isn't great. I want NO optical bays, no 3.5" bays, just space for x2 SSD's, a tempered glass side panel, the acrylic top panel accessory and the above riser card holder. If they don't release the Riser Card Holder I'm out... it's pretty much the only thing stopping me from buying another case.

You can't actually purchase this without the drive bays, you will get them and then just not use them. The only real options are Mastercase 5 which is basic, Mastercase 5 Pro which adds a Windowed side panel and a cover and bracket for a radiator between the handles, or the Mastercase Maker which includes all the Pro has but changes the front panel to add a tilting door and sound deadening material. So if you don't have any drives then just unscrew the bays and remove them.

If you start with the Basic you can add the parts to make it a Pro, but you can't get to Maker from there, yet. I am assuming that all the parts to go from the 5 to a Maker will be available at some time. Just be aware that you will pay a significant premium to upgrade your case if you start with a 5 and try to upgrade it yourself.

On top of the cost you must purchase the tempered glass as a separate item (this will give you two side panels, the original and the tempered) the acrylic plate is a Maker accessory so it is in addition to whatever top you get from the case.

Thanks, so the basic cheapest version has no window? Which is no problem if I intend to get the tempered glass panel anyway. And as I have no intention of putting a rad up top and would like to buy the actrylic top panel accessory... again, basic is the way to go it seems. I don't like those drive bay covers... is there an accessory panel that goes top to bottom on the front, or just that drop down door option? But the door only woeks on the Maker version not the basic? Hence it not being a purchasable option.

Likely the basic is your best bet. There was mention earlier in this thread of an accessory in planning that was a replacement for the front mesh panel that did not have any drive bay slots. I don't know if Cooler Master has decided to do this. There is a kit now in the EU store to turn a 5 or Pro 5 into a Maker. Two things I don't like about the Maker front, the door restricts airflow, and the door in general, but I use the optical drive bays. And, it doesn't solve your issue as the front provided has the drive slots covers still. Since the 5 already supports 2 SSD's you just need to remove the optical and HDD drive bays and replace the door (side panel). I would guess your purchase would look something like this:

1 - Mastercase 5 SKU MCX-0005-KKN00
1 - Tempered Glass Side Panel SKU MCA-0005-KGW00 currently unavailable
1 - Acrylic Top Plate SKU misc-tpcvr

Any video review of MasterCase Maker 5 Tempered Glass ? That case looks really beautiful! It's a close one with Phanteks Evolv ATX Tempered Glass for me...

KitGuru (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiT6SM9UwWE) reviews the MasterCase Maker 5, and talks a bit about the tempered glass in this review beginning around 1:47. I haven't come across any video reviewing just the glass alone though.
