Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1 Push&Pull does NOT work because of the full thermal armour covering. I need only 3-5mm ;-(((
Can i build a 420mm radiator on the front? Is it possible? I just want to buy EK-CoolStream CE 420. It is 460mm long. Is there enough place`?

@Alperen62002

I ran into the same problem with the Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1 and I thought I had pointed it out that you just are short a few millimeters to fit a radiator and push/pull fans. You might have to switch to a full tower, if and when it becomes available in order to put in a 420 in the front. It won't fit in the MasterCase 5/Pro/Maker. May I ask why you have the four small fans mounted on top of the armour?

@kaaala

I have a Maker 5 with nothing in it, I can take a few pictures and measure it for you so you can see where an E-ATX motherboard would fall if mounted in this case.

@WheresWally
Thanks for the Info.
The 2 Fans under the GPU cools are for the 950 Pro m.2. This SSD getting hot. (over 50°C) The 35mm Fan didn't help. I had two old Corsair Dominator Cooler. I sticked a Temp sensor Cable under the SSD and modify the Bracket with noctua 60mm fans. Finally I glued the cooler with Two component epoxy resin on an old SSD. The other one is for Ram-Cooling. It keeps the Ram always under 40°C. The fans are controlled by the Temps of ssd and Ram.

This is just showing an E-Atx Motherboard in a Master 5 Pro case.

It looks tighter than it really is.. due to my XSPC Photon being mounted the way I mount it. The thing with the Mastercase 5 is that you can actually put all the mounting screws in and I've not had any clearance issues personally. The other case I have that doesn't list EATX (Fractal Define S) can fit the EATX board as well but I can only really put three screws in...

I've also had my Maximus VIII extreme and MSI X99A Gaming 9 ACK in my Mastercase... so EATX seems fine to me. I can't comment on other EATX boards tho.. I know some are larger than others... (lol sounds bad).

*edit* One note about the pic is that I was pretty much just stuffing everything I could into the build. To show that the case can handle it... Besides the Fury X's in Crossfire. There is two Samsung 950's in the m.2 slots... a Samsung 951 on an adapter below the first Fury and an Intel 750 U.2 on an Adapter in the bottom slot (that's why there is a cable down there for no apparent reason).

Hey digitalwolf, how did you get the gaming g1 board to fit? I just got my motherboard after it being unavailable for a while and I can't seem to line up the motherboard mounts properly

Not your fault, E-ATX seems to have now been adopted as some kind of philosophical idea which simply denotes "bigger", without any exact size specifications! Case manufacturers can't always definitively say a case supports an E-ATX board anymore because it could support some boards but not others. Makes for confusing times, and the only way you really know is if someone else has done it or you offer to be the guinea pig!

Sorry my OCD set in today and I was messing with my build all day.

I didn't do anything special as far as mounting my G1 in the case. The only thing I've ever run into is when the backplate is kind of springy and you have to push on the outer edge of the board a bit and then it just slides right to where it should be.

The only difficult part for me (and it's not that difficult) with the G1 in this case is the cables for things like hard drives/ SSD's. I just started using my Pro 5 with G1 again as I had taken a lot of the parts out of it for one of my other cases/setups. For me because of how I mount my Reservoir its a really tough angle to get my data cables on right. I only like to use the Intel SATA ports and because I use both the M.2 sockets I only have two Intel ports and they are tight to the case. Then my Reservoir is right there so that's the only reason *I* have any issues. I bought on of the XSPC Ion Reservoirs but have that in a different case. It's kind of interesting but has delicate ports *.*

Anyway sorry for the ramble response... the mounting points shouldn't be an issue at least in the Pro 5 case.

I am going to move my completed MasterCase 5 build to a Maker 5, once I swap out the red LEDs in the I/O panel for some orange or blue/violet ones. I may leave the power LED red. I am also going to go to a custom water loop at the same time. Still not sure of the final parts list, but this is not a must build project. Have to work on an m-ATX build first.

So why am I moving to the Maker 5? Well my posts in the past have complained about the lack of availability of the Maker 5 I/O panel made to fit the Mastercase 5. Now that I have the Maker 5 in hand, I can see just how much work that would be, there are several differences in the size. It is not just the cover panel, So if I wanted to upgrade, the easiest would be to just get the whole front panel section door and all. I also thought the door would interfere with an optical drive tray placed in the top slot, but I have decided to go sans optical drive when I move it all over. I will be keeping the NZXT Aperture-M in the top slot.

Then the plan is to take apart the entire Mastercase 5 rivets and all and paint it white so that my daughter can use it to replace her oversized NZXT 820 White case. Now if I could convince Cooler Master to at least in the Mastercase line make both black and white cases available and stop with the RED LEDs biggrin.gif

Haven't had a CM case since like 2004 or so. I've decided tinted out the maker 5. Haven't had quality issues with a Corsair 780t from three different orders I'm done trying the 780t. The maker 5 looks interesting and I like the idea. It'll be a little tight with the hardware I'm putting in it. I really like the features it has. From what I've read and seen I have a few suggestions for CM but I'll hold those thoughts till mine is here tomorrow and start the build.

Parts:
Asus Rampage V edition 10
128gb Corsair LED Vengeance 3000
SLI Asus Strix 1080oc card
Samsung 950 pro nvme 512gb
2x Intel 730 480gb raid 0
Corsair ax1200i

Might try the maker psu when it comes out.
