Cooler Master: MasterCase 5 Series Owners Club - Page 76

Just installed my Asus Rampage V Edition 10 mobo into this case. Had to remove the cable grommets since the mobo backplate sticks out and won't sit flush with them installed. Pix to come when I get a chance to finish my build.

If you look back in this thread, you can find a number of opinions from forum posters on the differences between the Maker 5 and the Pro 5. There are also some good video reviews out there for both cases. I would recommend watching KitGuru's videos on both cases, they may help make up your mind.

My personal opinion is that the Pro 5 is the best choice of the 3 MasterCase 5 cases.

The Pro 5 seems to be the sweet spot with regard to features vs. price. The few extras in the Maker 5 are a personal decision and should only be made if you actually need the extra features of a simple fan and LED controller and a USB C connection.

Just saying 'buy the newest' doesn't make sense in this context as the cases are identical internally and use the same accessories.

My daughter is now working on her MasterCase 5 Pro, she is in the process of scuffing all the metal surfaces to paint the case white (please Cooler Master make the choice of white and black a standard for all your new cases). It is going to have this colorway.

What about the Riser Card Holder for the MasterCase. When can we buy it? It's been just over a month:mad:

Doesn't say so in your sig. Anyway, the Mastercase Maker 5 has everything included in the package for $40 more. Might as well spend that $40 and get all the new accessories not including the tempered glass of course.

For anyone interested, here's my Asus Rampage V Edition 10 board in the new Mastercase Maker 5. Excuse the cabling. This was before I had time to make them look nice and tidy. You can't see the cables through the grommet holes once you install the back cover.

Well, I think my mastercase is at about max capacity.
10 hours of leak testing. Gonna push for another two.
Cleaned fittings, blocks and rads. Installed notcutas, Re-tubed, fixed reservoir and added my dual top pump. I think I need a full tower.
I did get a little carried away with the drilling of the midplate. It was rather difficult to plumb the whole 280mm rad/res & pump section.
I will be sure to purchase the Mastercase 7 as soon as it drops.

(before and after)
