The part I don't agree with is that its some sort of imminent disaster brought on by man that the government then uses to further dictate how I should live my life and for hypocrites like Al Gore can profit on.
The other problem I have with the global warming / climate change crowd is that it has become synonymous with religious fanaticism where as real science is about taking an idea and doing everything possible to try to prove it wrong and that is just not what you see happening with these people that have a global warming agenda. Its all money now. Be a scientist that doesn't agree with this idea of man-made global warming and see how that works out for you with funding, etc.
It's all corrupt.
While you are right, so is Al Gore to some extent.
Global warming has existed for as long as the Earth has had an atmosphere, but in the last 150-200 years (right when we started mass burning coal, oil and gas, a bit of a coincidence
), the amount of greenhouse gasses produced has rocketed significantly to significantly more than what it has ever been before.
Right now, what we have done can be fixed. It will take a very long time but if we carry on producing as much CO2 and NOx as we are now, then a disaster will happen in the distant future.
