Sapphire already have a good name in AMD cards though, and if they started making nvidia cards they'd be competing with Asus, Msi, Gigabyte, Palit, Galax, Evga, PNY and Zotac.

Not to mention the cost of changing over to the nvidia designs. I think your comment was pretty unrealistic for sapphire honestly. It'd be a risky changeover.

This card represents the highest premium quality card ever releases IMO. And it looks better than any other card on the market, along with the other Fury cards. It also ticks every box that cards are judged on. Premium quality feel, one of the fastest cards in the world, most energy efficient card in the world, can be used in virtually any form factor, runs on a single 8 pin connector, low power consumption, its quiet and runs cool. That's an amazing piece of engineering. To top it all off its looking like GCN will be the architecture to own for upcoming games that support next Gen DX12 and Vulkan as well as being the only architecture worth having for VR. Price tag totally justified.
Nice move by AMD opening up this category. I wonder how long it will take the morons at nvdia to follow.

I agree it's a nice product. Price tag is not justified though honestly, when considering the prices of the other fury cards.

If you don't know how long it will take the 'morons' at nvidia to follow then you don't know anything about HBM memory.

Nvidia will have access to HBM2 next year so they will be able to save power and reduce PCB size too.

I think Zotac which is nvidia exclusive is Sapphire owned. Not sure though.

I think it is justified, and will be worth every penny to those that buy it. There are a number of new and innovative technologies in the card that give it pricing power. It'll come down over time just like all products. Nv's going to have a hard time with this one.

How is nvidia going to have a tough time with this one? They will have HBM on cards sometime next year. The nano isn't going to somehow dominate the entire market.

There is no justification to charge the same for the nano as the fury X which is clocked higher and has an included AIO liquid cooler. They could've at least shaved $50 off that price.

They are going for pure profit, whether people can justify that in their own minds is fine, as is your opinion.

The whole minit-itx thing is almost a waste of time honestly.

Why not just make all fury PCBs 7" or 7.5" (whatever the fury is.)

It's still tiny, and I'd assume it would cost less through the development and production stage having one uniformed design.

They could've made a decent reference cooler (maybe even dual fan? or just a decent blower) which would also save money over the AIO and troubles/returns with those units.

Higher binned chips would've simply been reserved for the fury X which could've come out clocked at maybe 1100mhz.

They could've let the partners use full fiji chips and cut down fiji chips down the track a little when more stock was available, ie like the 7000 and 200 series.

They are trying to be so special or niche that it is kind of disappointing, except for people that are blown away by an extra inch off a card...........................

If they did the above I can almost guarantee they would be a lot cheaper for everybody.
