Found a work around without using software, took me long enough to think of it.. plug the CPU fan into one of the sys fan ports. Sits at about 1200 RPM, nearly silent, 0.5c ~ 1c higher temp if any change at all.

I also use the custom fan curve works great. I'm using the H220X with only on pin plugged into CPU FAN, so i just set one curve, no problems with it so far,

Just updated to F5 BIOS voltages and temps and fan speeds all still read wrong in HWinfo other monitoring programs, I'm wondering if this is Gigabytes attempt to force us to use the GIGABYTE software, as it is the only thing that works.

Hey everyone! I recently bought a Z170X Gaming 3 and I cannot update my BIOS. When I use @BIOS it crashes everytime I choose the .zip file. I'm confused. My BIOS are currently F2.

Extract the zip file into a folder on a usb drive then reboot and enter the bios. Use q flash from within the bios to flash the new version. This is how i've always updated my bios on gigabyte mobos. Be sure to make a backup of your current bios with q flash first.

..why didn't I just buy a Gaming 7. My UD5 TH suddenly has nothing over the Gaming 7 apart from a ever ever so slightly better colour scheme.

Thunderbolt, however potentially useless it may be, was the tipping point.
