Can anyone with a Gigabyte z170mx and SSD's in raid0 go 48 hours without any app or system errors in the event viewer? A simple "yes" would give me some hope, though I don't even know where to start squashing some of these bugs... willing to try.

Hey there,

quick question for anyone modding or watercooling a Z170 Gaming 7; I'm currently in need of a either replacement motherboard heatsinks, or replacement "theme badges" (the things that are glued over the heatsink with logos). If so, I'd be willing to buy them off you if you were willing to sell them!

Thanks!

Hello, friends!

I have one question about my overclock. For some time I'm happy owner of Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 7. I recently updated to BIOS F6 due small issues which has been successfully corrected.

Before I was running only on X.M.P mode which caused motherboard to set all Turbo-Ratios to 4,2Ghz for all cores and VCORE was unaffected. Now with F6 BIOS I saw that my voltage has changed(VCORE go even close to 1,35V (I think its pretty high for simple overclock) so I decided to set manual VCORE to 1,2V with X.M.P enabled and all other things are AUTO. Turbo-Ratios for all cores are 4,2GHZ in high usage.

My RAM modules running on 3 Ghz CL15 with 1.35V(X.M.P)

What I want to know is that CPU-Z showing at idle Core Voltage - 1,176V. Before I saw that voltage went up or down depended on usage.(0,8V to 1,32V for example). For sure, I decided to check all things in HWINFO 64 and HW Monitor which both showing VID between 0,8V - 1,25V +/-). Under motherboard section - VCORE is all time 1,186V

Temps are good. Stress test put all my cores to 100% at 4,2Ghz with temps at 50C. At idle temps are around 23-27C
VCORE in BIOS showing 1,176V

Are these settings fine and there is nothing to worry about?

Thank you guys for answers.

Use AIDA64 for correct Vcore read for Gigabyte mobos.
When I set to XMP to my ram it was 1.38 So changed to manual 1.36 (which is 1.355 if I use a voltmeter)

I don't have this issue. My internet is fine with the Killer chip

Raid0'ing SSD/M2's is fairly pointless considering it's the 0.1ms access time that actually matters unless you're copying/pasting GB's worth of data on a regular basis.
