I have one question about my overclock. For some time I'm happy owner of Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 7. I recently updated to BIOS F6 due small issues which has been successfully corrected.
Before I was running only on X.M.P mode which caused motherboard to set all Turbo-Ratios to 4,2Ghz for all cores and VCORE was unaffected. Now with F6 BIOS I saw that my voltage has changed(VCORE go even close to 1,35V (I think its pretty high for simple overclock) so I decided to set manual VCORE to 1,2V with X.M.P enabled and all other things are AUTO. Turbo-Ratios for all cores are 4,2GHZ in high usage.
My RAM modules running on 3 Ghz CL15 with 1.35V(X.M.P)
What I want to know is that CPU-Z showing at idle Core Voltage - 1,176V. Before I saw that voltage went up or down depended on usage.(0,8V to 1,32V for example). For sure, I decided to check all things in HWINFO 64 and HW Monitor which both showing VID between 0,8V - 1,25V +/-). Under motherboard section - VCORE is all time 1,186V
Temps are good. Stress test put all my cores to 100% at 4,2Ghz with temps at 50C. At idle temps are around 23-27C
VCORE in BIOS showing 1,176V
Are these settings fine and there is nothing to worry about?
Thank you guys for answers.
