They are using same panel. I had BLB on PG278Q but not on BenQ. I'm glad with new monitor.thumb.gif

Very similar, I don't believe it is the exact same though.

I meant the actual panel OEM (ex. AU Optronics followed by model number). From my experience BenQ builds a better housing etc. than ASUS for what you pay. Better QC too.

I am most worried about pixel inversion. I also hear Acer is making a freesync 2560x1440 IPS variant of their G Sync Predator with Freesync for cheaper (same panel that is also shared with the ASUS MG279Q). Also Eizo is dropping an IPS 2560 x 1440 Freesync at some point. Both are high refresh as well.

Feels like I should buy a cheap placeholder and wait. I wish their was just a 75 hz 2560 x 1440 IPS with FS range from 30 to 75. Perfect for my needs.

Anyone get theirs with a stuck pixel? I just got mine in today and the first thing I noticed after hooking it all up is a stuck pixel in the bottom left corner. I get that there's a higher possibility what with having 78% more pixels than a 1080p, but I paid $500 for this thing..

I have three 24" 1080s monitors right next to me, a 40" 1080p TV in my bedroom and a 50" 1080p out in the living room... none came with dead/stuck pixels. The last time I ever had a stuck pixel was on a 17" 1280x1024 probably 8 years ago - and I bought that used locally from a non-profit tech recylce for the sole purpose of bench tests. Should I be filing for a replacement with Amazon?

To the replacement I'm assuming? Not the "anyone else" part? I'll go ahead and do so.. honestly kind of unacceptable in my eyes when it comes to a monitor that I had to shell out this much for. I'll try running some stuck pixel repair software, but something tells me it's dead, not stuck.

Also, what are these inversion artifacts and what's the best way to test to see if my panel suffers from it? Is it something that would have been fairly blatant at the desktop level? Or is it something I'd immediately notice after a short bit of gaming?

RMA it. Don't settle for a panel with dead pixels. Amazon values their customers and won't mind swapping it.
