I mean, I was just splitting some atoms next to it, nothing out of the ordinary... All I have next to it is a speaker. They would just start flashing out of nowhere. The menu buttons didnt activate anything.

Would be nice to do that if modern cards supported CRT's.
New video cards don't have analog compatible DVI connectors anymore (DVI-A).
Maybe Nvidia still has it. AMD doesn't on 290X+.

There's a firmware bug exploit to fix that, and make it as good as any other monitor out, but no reviewer knew about it, as this "bug exploit" didn't work until V003 firmware came out--and of course, Benq never releases firmware update notes..

Are you talking about the low AMA mode exploit? And is this still an issue with the xl2730z? Or is it less of an issue?

Yeah I was.
That issue doesn't affect the XL2730Z.

And the AMA Low exploit was absolutely needed with the XL2720Z if you were not using blur reduction.
The default AMA high setting was just beyond atrocious. It was "ok" if you were using blur reduction, completely terrible if you were not.

Hey folks,

New to this thread, may be i will be a join the club next ... smile.gif

Planning to buy this monitor since it is a big price difference between this monitor and other peer ones (the IPS and Gsync ones), but the issue is: i own an NVIDIA 970, and planning to upgrade and stick with an NVIDIA, so am i going to face any issues or problems, and since it supports freesync?

peace

No. Everything except FreeSync will work splendidly! I have a GTX 780 Ti with this monitor and it's great!

Looks like Nvidia has DVI so in musing:

lag (CRT) = 12ms(85hz) + 1ms (lag) = 13ms
lag (LCD) = 8ms(120hz) + 4ms (lag) = 12ms

blur (CRT)
off axis view (CRT)
color (CRT)
brightness (CRT)
blacks (CRT)
clouding (CRT)
screen size (LCD)
size/wt (LCD)
radiation (seriously?) (LCD)

sorry for the o.t.

Anyone with buyers remorse after the review of the Eizo Foris FS2735? 27-inch 1440p 144Hz IPS with Freesync and Blur Reduction.

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/eizo_foris_fs2735.htm

Freesync 30-90Hz
or
56-144Hz

Blur Reduction at 100Hz, 120Hz, or 144Hz. Also 60Hz but see the recommendation against it on TFT Central.

Personally... I have no remorse. The response times on TN can't be beat and the Eizo looks worse. My only issue with the BenQ is the anti-glare is too much, but I'm sort of getting used to it... sort of.

0 remorse when its double the BenQ's price and the only things it has to offer realistically is just the IPS panel which isn't worth another $500+ imho
