When you say died can you elaborate? I have never had to RMA to them but the phone support staff were always friendly and helpful. biggrin.gif

Really bad flicker at 60hz (tried multiple cables, computers, and input types), and as I increase the refresh rate the flicker gets worse/faster. Blur reduction makes it worse, nothing else really changes anything else.

A strange line also developed at the top of the monitor.

I have 0 clue what happened, worked fine when I woke up, played a game, went to watch tv, came back to the problems.

UPDATE: seems like it could be a heating problem left the monitor off since I posted this post (7 hrs) turned it on and it was fine for about 10 mins. Out of everything I could think of that was the most logical. Will test in the morning/see if adding cooling does anything. I really dont want an exchange-monitor as I have terrible history with the panel-lottery.

They did well the one time I had to have a monitor fixed. I bought a BenQ business line monitor for work and it had an awful buzzing (like a CRT) noise. Sent it back for free, they repaired it for free, and sent it back for free!

Problem was gone!

Got this monitor, I was looking for a decent 1440/144 freesync monitor and this seems to be it. Payed $100 over the MG278Q, was it worth it? I heard this monitor has better contrast, anti-ghost mode, less QC issues and BenQ has great customer support compared to Asus and Acer

I'd say it's worth it for the blur reduction and perhaps better QC.

How would you say the colors are? I recently tried a 4k AOC U2879VF with a TN panel and the colors were absolutely garbage, completely washed-out. I hope this panel is better

I honestly am not a good judge of color quality as I am a CSGO player so my colors are obnoxiously amplified to make it easier on me to see enemies on screen so I have color saturation cranked up to the maximum 200 setting on my video card(s). I had such a hard time adjusting to the color differences between my 4K monitor and this monitor but the main difference that played tricks on my mind were the pixel density difference which is to be expected from a 4K panel to a 1440p panel.

Mind you both of these screens I am talking about are TN panels.

Colors are equivalent to a budget ips with a moderate-sever ag coating (it looks about that same as my old hp ZR22W).
