If you have BF4 or any Squeenix modern title they all have 144hz support in game menu and the Squeenix do in the launcher. Test with BF4 or any modern BF title if you have it imo. thumb.gif

I dont have an origin account. Dont want to support the platform. I will find something, I have a little of 600 games in steam so I am bound to find one that has it in the menu. Thanks.

I totally hear you man. The only games I own on there are just BF4 and BF3. I am sure you can find something in a 600 game steam library for sure to test. Let us know how it goes. biggrin.gif

Yeah I will play with it more tonight, I only had about an hour last night of playing with it before I decided to go to bed.

Origin is actually pretty good, better than Steam IMO, it just works, it's very light and optimized and simple.

Also, you can get BF4 for 5-10$ on G2A deals, plus each week Origin gives away a random game, it's been all of Dead Spaces, Battlefield 3, Dragon's Age games and many more for free with their "On the house" thing.

Honestly, if I could port my steam games to origin I would, Battle.net is awesome as well, uPlay is the one I can't stand to see, I reinstalled my whole Windows 10 OS after uninstalling uPlay because it felt like the entire OS Was corrupted by the mere presence of this disgusting uPlay DRM... Yaaack!

For me its just that I am so invested into steam I dont want to spread my games across multiple different services. The only other service I use is gog and thats only since they started letting you link your steam library with gog connect.

Edit: So it turns out I am just a dumbass. Even thought the monitor was reporting 144hz it wasnt actually at 144hz. I went into display settings, advanced, adapter properties and it was still on 60hz there. Changed it to 144 and bam, it was immediate that it was on. Portal 2 locked right onto 144hz refresh and wow, just wow. I cant believe I waited so damn long to make this jump.

I bought the Benq XL2730Z and I have 30 days times to return it , because the pixio 277 really caught my eye thanks to this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1607294/pixio-px274-27-inch-2560x1440-qhd-monitor-only-199 , its a 1440p 144hz freesync with an IPS panel (same panel thats used in acer XG) for just 389 dollars. What do you guys think , return the Benq and get the pixio ?

Edit: They also seem to ship to my country in Europe for free

I won't lie, that monitor looks like something I could easily recommend over the BenQ XL2730Z but until I see a TFTCentral review I'm not entirely sold, besides the BenQ XL2730Z have an image quality just as good a XB270HU despite being a TN panel.

If the Pixio monitor is really high quality and as good as a XB270HU and you don't need Low Motion Blur (Not the motion clarity you get with 1ms on the BenQ, but the strobing BenQ feature) then I'd say go for it, because it's priced very well tbh, go for it because it's cheaper, I'd not expect a boost in image quality but a boost in viewing angles, a calibrated XL2730Z should look equally good.

Oh, and the freesync range of 55-144Hz might mean that they're using the correct frame scaler settings, not forcing a higher Freesync ranges generating blur and issues like with the XF270HU.

That's my issue aswell besides the review of Joker that I posted , I cant seem to find any review about this monitor.

That 199 monitor has a refresh rate of 60hz.

I have never even heard of Pixio but with a monitor arm this is a nice alternative option. I have been trying to decide if I want to keep my BenQ(only really need 144hz for BF4) or go 4K but it seems all the Freesync 4K panels but they all have a terrible lower limit of 40 and my single Fury X cannot handle that too well I suspect.
