Is this something that only happens when not using ULMB/Blur reduction? I don't seem to have this problem but then again I exclusively use my XL2730Z with blur reduction mode on.

Has anyone else noticed an annoying random flickering that only occurs at the desktop, not in games? It's was driving me bonkers for the last few days until I tried turning off blur reduction. The flickering stopped completely after turning it off.

Blur reduction has been known to flicker to some users(everyone is a bit different in sensitivty). I don't use any lightboost or extra blur reduction as 144hz manages to do that just fine on it's own for me. I also have AMA is set to default if that matters.

Is here noone that plays some games in 1920x1080 and gets only 100Hz in some games and no way to get them to display at 120 or 144Hz?

Also setting max refresh rate in Nvidia settings for the game wont have an effect.

Also setting the Windows resolution to 1920x1080 at 120 or 144Hz wouldnt make the games work at that refresh rate.

Like I wrote before, at 100Hz it scales differently and more blurry than at 120 and 144Hz.

This drives me insane. Why is this a lottery with games to get them to work at certain refresh rate?!

And why does this monitor use a different scaling at 100Hz than at 120 or 144Hz?!
Do you have this same problem if you set the refresh rate to native (2560x1440) and try to run the games at 100hz and 120hz?

Please do me a favor.
Please do all these steps/questions.

What games are you playing that have this problem?
Are these *DirectX 9 games*?
Can you please check the Monitor OSD and please list the refresh rate and resolution it reports when you run one of these problematic games?
Thank you.

Intensity and Area are in the blur reduction area. They are no longer in the service menu, but were moved into the OSD. Intensity= "strobe duty" (pulse width, aka persistence) and Area="Strobe phase." (strobe timing position)

BTW This is the service menu: I don't think you were talking about this....(although to be "direct", this is the factory menu. The service menu has the Internet café and HPD settings).

Falkentyne, I have seen your posts/reviews of the XL2430t also the ones in blur busters, great Job!
You say that now they were moved into the OSD? could you post a picture with those settings in the blur reduction area?
I can't. I don't own this monitor.
Someone said they are in the blur reduction menu buried somewhere.
Maybe they don't appear unless you turn the option to on?
