Nice clocks but the score is low. I'm hitting 733 at 4.74ghz 185 x 25.5 Ram at 1113mhz 11-13-13-35-46 1.50v

Must tweak your system.

Installed the FX-8370E...VRM is overheating and throttling the cpu speed down. I dont have a vrm temp probe but just through a few verious tests with fans and touching the vrm there is a direct correlation between the throttling and the temps of the vrm. Good news is the chip seems like it will be a decent chip. I just need to keep the vrm cool enough.... Right now i have one 45mm fan on it. Im thinking about running 3 on it and hoping that works.

So far the cpu will run without throttling at 4.5ghz with 1.35v. I have played battlefield with it at 4.7ghz at 1.44v It didnt throttle in game but throttles bad with prime95 small fft.

I cant really say im impressed with the performance increase.... Im seeing like a 5fps difference in bf4 and a 5-8fps difference in gta5. This was with the 4350 at 5ghz and the 8370 at 4.7ghz. It still seems like 1 core is running 88-90% while gaming and the rest of the cores are at like 20-60%

Maybe i need to move away from windows 7...

Yeah ill order some nice thermal compound and pull the VRM and NB heatsinks. Thankfully the heatsinks are threaded and screws from the backside on the v.4 board.

Its annoying though, im glad i got the 8370E instead of the 8350. My guess is the 125w tdp would not help this situation.

Nice scores JerDerv!
I was just curious how the quad core Vishera architecture did as I had an old Trinity Athlon X4 750K that I had clocked to a little under 5.2GHz and got a score of 386 so the cores are definitely stronger on the Vishera side.

So after playing gta5 a lot more i can say it made a pretty big difference actually. I just want to game at 60fps to match my monitor's refresh rate and right now its hoovering right around 65 on average with v-sync off. If i turn v-sync on its probably at 60fps for 80% of the time it dips to 55fps or so kinda regularly but it doesnt bother me. Every so often though it will just drop down to 25-30 get kinda stuttery then pick back up again. Not sure whats going on with that. I check the logs and it doesnt show cpu usage over 80% in any single core and nothing over 70% overall. The GPU is maxed out a lot more than it was on the 4350 but there are still dips to 40-50% gpu usage every once and i while especially on the low fps stutters.

Anywho, its running games reliably at 4.7ghz at 1.44v idle 1.416 under load. Doesnt seem to get to hot to throttle back. It will run a cinebench at 4.83ghz without throttling or doing anything weird.

Did a 770 on r15
