First off, I have both the X10 and the X5 and they are very different devices.

The X10 came in different pieces in which you can take off the top part to access the weight center so you may add or take away a couple of cylindrical weights. If you didn't put back the top section correctly you had that "mushy" feeling with the front switches.

The X5 is totally different, NO removable top section at all, in fact it's one complete mouse with no weights inside. Hence the X5 is the TOP (crispiest) mouse currently made by Evga and in fact might even be way better than most being sold out there now.

I still keep the X10 as a special mouse that is unique in it's design and execution but it remains only as a showpiece upon my desk.

Maybe I had a bad copy, but the X5 I had had mushy buttons. And I've run into my fair share of lies in online forums. thumb.gif

Amazon reviews of people experiencing mushy/hard-to-press buttons on the X5:

Is it actually out yet? Are they at best buy yet? Because I'd like to feel it before pulling the trigger.

No, the Diamondbacks are not out yet, according to Razer's site. They supposedly ship on October 15th: http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-diamondback

As my long time avatar shows, the Copperhead is still my favorite and I'd love to see the revival of it. Nothing beats the grip the side rails the CH which had the buttons below it instead of on it like the DH. This new version doesn't look like it's even including the rubber side rails. Back in the day, it it allowed me to hold the mouse in just the right way to place precise shots.
