how is it superior though? does the pln have any issues or smoothing? does it have any tracking problems etc?

yes, when you lift the mouse and put it back down, or even if you press alittle bit on the mouse so it flexes your mousepad, the mouse moves slightly.. making it very hard to land a headshot for example.. it tracks very well otherwise which is sad.. and then we have the 3360 - its literally like going to 120hz.. ive tried several times going back to previous gen "ok" sensors, and they are horrible : D there is simply no dice right now. im buying the deathadder to try razers top optical soon too..

update; Trying it again now, updated everything. zaxis problem seems to be completely gone.. : D tracking is Very nice, and the shape is Much better than 303.. gonna keep using it for awhile and check in later. only lights and dpi/hz saves on mouse. and synapse installs a service that isnt removed when uninstalled, *sigh*..

yeah its good, its definitly good.. much better since the first time i tried it.. im actually replacing my g303 for now. : ]

well, i have been playing with it for about 2 days now.. switched to g303 and it has noticably better tracking, more consistent, less accel.. case closed.

Hmmm... so is the Z-axis issue really gone with a new software update? I loved the Diamondback shape (even the new one), and I would go back to it instantly if it was gone. Can anyone else confirm?

I use mine at 800dpi, and as long as you properly calibrate the surface, it should be reduced to a negligible amount. I can take a video of it if you want.

Can you say that for a fact or is it just a feeling? I didnt notice any accel on the 0 setting.

Yes, its Very noticable. z-axis seems to be resolved tho. I love the shape too.. If only the accel was of the consistent type, so it could be learned. Its not, there is some varience in the speed making it impossible to compensate inbrain.. : [ lets hope the new logitech is long enough, or i might try to make a daedback/diamondlus.. : D

Resolved? I guess Razer turned the sensor damping up to 11.

"Sensor Damping" is actually a term Mad Catz marketing came up with. thumb.gif

It feels very low latency tho, almost feels "faster" than g303. Probably the accel that makes that feeling.

Actually just bought this model now for $80.00AUD here in Oz from this place here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151916358767?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Have to add "CHOICE20" to lower it down to $80.00AUD delivered. Good price tag for this item.

Won't even open the box once it's delivered, it shall go into my basement as storage for later use, down the road.

Just received it today, according to the Mrs.

She says it looks all official with it's flip open Razer packaging, another product added to my collection.

You see, I'm not a true Razer-hater unlike you lot here on OCN with your hatred towards the humble PTE.
