[Build Log] Evil-Mobo's What Now build: ?

01/10/2015: Well, things have changed and right now not sure what direction to take. Not ready to splatter details all over but not happy with @Parvum at all right now.

Being in 2016, this should be an interesting year for hardware, but I need some kind of PC up and running, so I half half a mind to build something decent off of older chipsets and wait ti see what HBM 2.0 and Zen bring in 2016/2017.

Stay tuned! thumb.gif

Welcome aboard! thumb.gif

Updated OP, made a decision on GPU (s).

Now to narrow down a Case and finish ordering parts.

Does anyone know if it's possible to order custom Bitspower fittings anywhere? TCO told me he didn't think so but just throwing the question out there. I have a specific idea in mind that isn't too difficult. I would just like black fittings with the logo in a different color than what is standard.

Thanks
Evil

Some stuff has trickled in...........

And parts list has been updated again today was a busy day purchasing wise lol.......

Basically, right now I am struggling as to what MOBO to buy, I was all set on the EVGA Classified but found numerous complaints on them on the EVGA forums of all places, and a hint of maybe a newer version to be released soon. So not sure whether to leave it for a bit and see what happens or get something else? The X99 Deluxe ASUS is killing CPU's...... the MSI Godlike looks killer and has GREAT reviews but it's also $549. The colors don't match my build but it looks like they are parts that would be easy to repaint.

I got the rest of the EK CSQ parts I wanted ordered so my OCD will be happy. And earlier today scored the second Nvidia GTX 980 for the build. I am waiting for the clear plexi EK connector/link for the GPU's until I know what motherboard I will be getting and what the spacing will be between cards.

Now giving thought to my loop as it has grown larger by another 980, and two RAM blocks.........two separate loops might start to make more sense now? thinking.gif

Also have something in mind to get the bitspower fittings how I want, and I thought of a few killer ideas for case mods to see if Cold Zero can make it happen. If they can, this will be a 900D like no other. Fingers crossed.

When PPC's gets the two 360 rads back I will be using that store credit toward the purchase of the case.

That's all for now folks, the last couple of days have made a lot of progress, quickly. biggrin.gif
