Small update: Since I can't make up my mind on which 1440p monitor to go with I took a different route for the time being. I know multi monitor is not for everyone but I can easily see myself using it and liking it as I always have various tabs and windows organized for stuff at the same time. I want to give technology a little time to play out for the curved wide screen 1440p market which is what appeals to me most, but don't want to be a beta tester. The 1080p monitor I ordered was inexpensive and got good reviews by Tom's Hardware so I took a chance and ordered one. It was affordable and had a great review. If I like it as time goes I can add two more and have my surround setup, or if the curved wide screen 1440p works out better I can jump into that and by that time one of my kids will need/want a PC and it can go towards that or I can keep it as a productivity screen (non gaming) and use it for email, surfing the net, etc.

I ordered one of these guys and will soon be setting my desk up in a temporary home but to get out of the living room with the build:
http://www.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PQU-Ultimate-Performance-Professional/dp/B00HY7PAUC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1447045601&sr=1-1&keywords=aoc+g2460pqu

It has plenty of connections, integrated speakers, great reviews on the display after adjusting, and a great price, I will give feedback once I have used it.

Hopefully there is some information on my case soon so that can get under way it's the last thing I need to move this PC to it's permanent water cooled home. And after how hot my GPU got today messing with Star Citizen I want it under water ASAP lol. I can see the function of it a lot more the closer I get to setting the loop up.

Everything has been running fine so far, no hiccups after sorting out the software stuff etc. Coming from an Xbox 360 my 60 hz flat screen has blown it away so far, huge difference. Even streaming video to the TV vs other HDMI devices that are HD. So I'm sure the 144 hz one will be just fine for the desk. thumb.gif

The specs on that monitor look good. I didn't read any reviews, but I'm curious to see how it works out. Looking forward to the move to the new case as well. smile.gif

The one I read was here.

I know there is a G Sync specific version of it but it's almost the cost of two of these so.......

Won me over lol, we will see. And yes to the case........

Nice review. I picked up a Ben Q XL2420TE for my last build. I like it, but I paid a little more.. I think it was about 320 USD on Amazon IIRC. Sounds like you made a good choice.

That's a nice monitor. But I spent like $265 for mine and it was shipped to me from Carson, Ca. not Korea. Yeah I own a Crossover but it works and it gets the job done. I have it overclocked at 80 Mhz. and it's 2560x1440. And TBH I love it. Next up for me will be a 34 inch curved with 144 Mhz. I've been using the the Precision 16 X which has much better features than that of the AB.

Keep us posted on that monitor. I want to know how it sizes up against others out there. smile.gif
