My motherboard came in and it looks great but it's also the tiniest motherboard I have ever seen. After unboxing it, I then started to really get an idea for how tiny this mother board really is, and it's fascinating that they can jam enough power into it for good over clocks on your GPU and the CPU. I can't wait to get benchmarks done with this build. The new focus was to see how small of a PC I could build but still get decent temps and good performance out of it. My Galax/KFA2 GTX 980Ti HOF should arrive tomorrow, and the PSU came in yesterday as well. Basically will be waiting on the case to come in to start putting things together and mocking them up. Might have to setup as a test bench before the case arrives to get it running and loaded up properly......

I will be WC the RAM, CPU, Mobo, & two GPU's. I think after some discussion with OGBeandip that one loop would be better to not waste rad space. What do you guys think about the Pump and res......?

Would one D5 be enough to run all of this with both 480 rads? Would there be any difference in having two reservoirs vs one with a single pump?

I believe a single D5 should be enough in terms of head. You also have to consider the space you're working with. If you did go dual loop have you thought about where would fit 2 pumps and reservoirs? smile.gif

Question for the Peanut gallery. I was originally planning to run SLI 980's but that will not work in the new case. Should I just run one 980 or upgrade to a 980 Ti or Titan X for the single GPU solution? For 1440P gaming I can see the benefits of the Ti but what would the Titan X offer there? One Titan X still isn't enough for playable 4K anyways right?

Thanks

You can play 4K with a single 980Ti or Titan X, but the FPS won't be very high. I think 2K is the sweet spot at this point. Wait for Pascal before go 4K if you can't do 2 in SLI. thumb.gif

I don't think you'll need a new board for Pascal. Even if it's PCIe 4.0 I believe it would be backwards compatible with PCIe 3.0. You know you can use a PCIe 3.0 GPU in a PCIe 2.0 slot just fine. You might lose a little performance, but not much if any. smile.gif

When I was aksing about the pump and what not I had a different build in place, thats when I had the 900D and was going E-ATX......

As for the GPU, my GTX 980Ti HOF should be arriving today, that's the route I chose to take on the GPU, since 4K isn't really there yet with a single GPU solution in my opinion anyways.

I do, however, appreciate the feedback.

I have a Parvum case on order and waiting for some questions to be answered on another tweak or two. thumb.gif

Ok, well I guess that there's some minor updating to do. I have no clue how long Parvum will take to get the case done, and it's really not a rush so I haven't even asked. However, my Galax GTX 980Ti HOF came in today, and I basically have everything but my case and a Battery backup/UPS unit, so I will be shopping for a battery backup unit, and I ordered a cooler master 130 ITX case to help me contain my excitement to get done. So the plan will be to put the build together air cooled and start using it like that for now, and then when the Parvum case comes in I can mock everything up and measure for custom cables, water cooling stuff, etc. But I won't be without my PC. I think this will give me a good opportunity to load up my programs and get the PC setup how I like and get some baseline and over clocked benchmarks on air to compare later to the water cooled build in the new case.

It's starting to get exciting, my new toy came in and brought a nice freebie that will definitely be used (SSD). I am very happy with the purchase thus far. Great boxing up of the unit and the unit feels solid and comes with a killer back plate already. The white PCB looks awesome. If this functions as good as it looks I will be a very happy camper. I am excited to see what this will do with the RAM I ordered and the i7 Skylake CPU.......

I ordered the following to take care of my water cooling needs for now, maybe upgrade the rads later we will see how they perform.

Anyways, after A LOT of time back and forth searching and reviewing, this is what I have come up with:
- Bitspower Galax GTX 980Ti GPU Block
- White EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block Top (changing up the CSQ/Plexi one on hand)
- (2) Magicool 240 G2 Slim Rads
- EK X-Top Revo D5 PWM pump- Acetal
- (15) EK ACF Nickel
- EK AF ball valve Nickel
- EK AK Exteneder M-M Nickel
- (4 Ft) Primochill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT- Crystal Clear (10mm/16mm)
- (2 LTR's) Pre-mixed Mayhem's Pastel Red
- (4) Corsair SP 120 PWM Fans
- (3) 80MM Noiseblocker Silent Pro PWM
- XSPC hose cutter

For the Reservoir I am trying to work in a surprise biggrin.gif
