dota 2 help

Hi guys I have a question about dota 2

who do you guys focus on in a team battle? Like say the enemy has slark, troll, templar, dazzle, and sk, who should i attack first? My problem is i freeze up in massive battles and just dont know who to attack. Should I attack the carry and get him out of the way, or do I go for squishies since they die really fast?

thanks

Depends on what roll you're playing. If you're playing support, you support your carries, IE buff them up. If you're playing shadow shaman you round up your carries, when you see them attack someone, you hold them with your shackles, and once they try getting away again, turn them into a chicken.

Support is meant to do just that, help your carries buff up and help feed them so they become more powerful.

If you're playing a carry, go after the one your teamates are going after to help kill them faster. Unless you know you can take someone 1on1 for a fact, try to stick to group fights.

If you're playing in a match with Ursa or the likes, try to find out where they're jungling and keep them from doing it.

hi thanks for the help. Yea with support I generally just stay back and follow the lead. But in one game I had, I was WK and was up against storm, visage, gyro, rubick , and enigma, and just got confused. Should I have gone after the enigma b.c of his ult? youre right i should focus on whoever the team is attacking. I had a tusk initiate but Id freeze up b/c i thought id die if i attacked the wrong hero.

So are you saying in general it doesnt matter if the carry or support dies first as long as they go down? I always thought there was an order like in general you wanna kill the carry first as they do the most dmg and then focus on the other heroes. But if youre saying go with the flow then i can do that

Well, believe it or not the game is super complex. Every hero has a weakness against another hero. The best you can do is get a mic and voice chat with your teamates. The game NEEDS communication so, talk to them, have them walk you through what they want you to do. Just say "hey, I'm new to this can you guys kinda guide me".

As a WK, you are useless against a storm. pretty much, UNLESS you are farmed as heck.

If you wanna be usefull on Wk you'll need either alot of farm and be ahead farm/gold/xp.
You can link me the Dotabuff match, be glad to help out, if you dont want to post it, thats fine.

If you are playing against a team with slark, troll, templar, dazzle, and sk = that is a greedy team meaning they need a lot of farm/gold/items to be effective. You want your team mates to have more than one lock down disabler against that lineup and to gank often, force and win early fights against that lineup and try to gain momentum to win the game as soon as possible. Ganks and early fights (if you win) throws their farming off. Focus on getting towers for map control and try to win the game by the 30 minute mark and no later than 40 minutes. Once the game lasts past 40 minutes the tides will turn and they will win because they will out farm you.

If you do not have any disablers on your team - Slark, Troll, and Templar will eat your team up early and into the late game.

Mostly you would want to focus on the main healer or DPS (damage per second). Never focus on the "tank" of the battle, it is his job to tank all the damage in order for his team to do work. I play Dota 2 quite a bit so if you have any questions just let me know!
