It would have to? I've seen shots on other computers where the slider would adjust to the mouses set lowest value depending on the mouse. Black Element has "1m" as it's lowest delay setting.

I'd have to buy another mouse made by them and I've just lost all interest at this point to do that.

edit: lift off tool's lowest setting recreates the g303 lod, so i felt right at home in that aspect

EVGA X3L RETEST!

I can't put this mouse back together this time for whatever reason. This is what happens when EVGA cost saves on screws.

So portioned into little baggies shall be it's fate.

This was a good mouse when it was $9.99 on clearance. It's currently at the stupidly godawful ridiculous price of $39.99. Do not buy it at this price. $9.99 is the only price you should EVER pay for this mouse.

Test Setup:

Events:300

Average = 8.88868ms
Deviation = 0.694121ms
Median = 8.98469ms
25% = 8.98733ms
75% = 7.98902ms
Max. = 9.99752ms
Min. = 6.98308ms

X3L.txt 3k .txt file

Lotta 8's. So my opinion would be...

When it was $9.99? Great. Now at the current $39.99? No thanks, so many better options exist at that price point.

I could blame the loose pcb, the cord that won't stay in it's portioned space, and the fact that I didn't remove the feet so I was putting the thing back into the screws.

Just got impatient.

Here you go rafa, I saved you the soldering.

So here's a simple overview of Diamondback revisions:

2004:
Review/Preview Version: A3060 with 3070 srom, Red LED, Cypress MCU
Release Version: A3070, Red LED, Cypress MCU

2005:
Revision 2: S3088, RED LED, Cypress MCU
Plasma Version: S3088, IR LED, Cypress MCU

2006:
Revision 3:S3088, RED LED, Elan MCU

Voila that's it. This is excluding Diamondback 3G and one more Pro Solutions variation.

So 2006 came along and saw the release of the Deathadder, Krait, and the last Diamondback revision....

Krait: 16ms

Deathadder 3G: 14ms on every firmware except 1.27/1.28NDC(3ms) and 1.33NDC(7ms)

Diamondback Revision 3: 16ms

So time to wire test:

Events:300
Average = 16.1658ms
Deviation = 0.71317ms
Median = 15.8739ms
25% = 15.8719ms
75% = 16.8718ms
Min. = 14.8687ms
Max. = 17.8738ms

diamondbackrev3elan.txt 4k .txt file

Finally ******* done with this stupid project. Thank ******** god.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!

Krait had two revisions!

So if someone out there has Krait that looks like this: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I wouldn't mind you contacting me and working something out because I am genuinely curious if anything but the ir led holder changed after this revision. The serial number has to be like that one above, not one with 2011 in it.

Abyssus 3.5G had multiple revisions!

I still know little about where or when this change occurred. My best guess was somewhere around the release of the Mirror edition the debounce delay was changed to 12ms. So if you have an Abyssus mirror with a s/n around PM100'ish please feel free to bump test it! It would be super helpful!

Paten / Creative Fatality 1010

Test setup: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Just as easy as the 2020 laser was to test.

This is included since I orginally didn't plan to test 500hz polling rate. So 3 total tests.

Fatality 1010:

Take 1 1000hz/333hz:

Events:300
Average: 1.93615ms
Deviation: 0.995571ms
Median: 1.872ms
25%: 2.87163ms
75%: 0.872296ms
Min: 0.017594ms
Max: 3.87801ms
fatal1ty1010.txt 3k .txt file

Take 2 500hz:

Events: 1000
Average: 3.44267ms
Deviation: 1.20903ms
Median: 3.86952ms
25%: 3.87421ms
75%: 2.87018ms
Min: 0.026978ms
Max: 6.87575ms
f1010500hz.txt 11k .txt file

Take 3 1000hz/333hz Again:

Events: 1000
Average: 1.9925ms
Deviation: 1.05555ms
Median: 1.8723ms
25%: 2.87193ms
75%: 0.872663ms
Min: 0.002346ms
Max: 3.87831ms
f1010333hz.txt 11k .txt file

400dpi/333hz yielded around a 2-2.5m/s max speed. 400dpi/500hz made the mouse output graphs similar to those of the S3668 DB 3G.

So much "what could have been" with the 2020 and 1010. One of my favorite mouse shapes. Would be something worthy of a 3366 in fantasy land.
Internals: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

iOne* / Func MS-2:
*It's either iOne or LaView, even if that is incorrect this is still ODM through and through.

Test Setup: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Scrub tier soldering made the setup waste a little more time than usual.

Events: 300
Average: 6.12028ms
Deviation: 0.556118ms
Median: 5.97142ms
25%: 5.9638ms
75%: 5.99341ms
Min: 4.95859ms
Max: 7.00214ms
funcms2fw30d.txt 3k .txt file

I have been seeing 8ms/12ms so much lately I found this surprising. The minimum button release delay is 6ms too. As always though, still slower than mice from 11 years ago. Progress!

So about the mouse.

Scroll wheel came loose after 20 minutes. Dpi button and m7 or the mute button can cause the mouse to freeze occasionally. Profile button is in a horrible useless spot. Insides are borderline poverty tier in some cases. 3 mil Omrons? Weltrend? Scroll wheel even after fixed still moves way too much. This is a design flaw due to the way it's being held. The shell BY ITSELF weighs 75g. Top heavy.

Performance...
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Every single graph would come out like that. I don't get it.

Garbage.

Gee I sure look forward to the Fnatic Flick!
