SuperPI 32M Haswell 4GHz Efficiency Challenge

Thread Starter

I want to work on my efficiency and will soon have a decent motherboard, so I thought a friendly challenge might be in order, you can either post the score on HWBot or in the thread and I'll rank them. thumb.gif

The restrictions are:
  • Only use a Haswell based processor.
  • The processor speed is limited to 4000MHz.

As for tweaks I know XP is best, but can't get my hands on a disk (I have a key though mad.gif ). I played around with which thread to run it on and used the Win7 priority tweak, however I have yet to get into testing Wazza which should be very helpful.

Holy... biggrin.gif Hey, Bullant.

I might have my work cut out trying to beat your time. tongue.gif

Getting an Asrock Z97 OC Formula and the ram is OCZ Platinum 2000MHz Cl8. I think it's PSC.

I had trouble rerunning those settings and improving my time, so I reinstalled Win7 and stripped it. Settings were still not working and then when I loosened a bunch of them I got this:

Only 0.5 seconds off and with all the tertiary timings loosened. And now I can't replicate this run, even with the same settings and OS - it's always slower. Is this just Win7 playing up by any chance?

Updated the leaderboard for the hell of it. I've found the original 4GHz thread, so I guess this can end as we don't really need a second one. I'll leave my best score here though:
