I will not ever buy a graphics card made by Asus, they are some lazy ass bastards, they don't design their coolers for the new gpus but just slap the old ones so they decrease manufacturing costs as much as possible. After trying out that disastrous R9 290X DirectCU II I will never ever buy any GPU from them, the cooler was simply designed for GK110, and not all heat-pipes touch the Hawaii GPU, since it is a smaller die than GK110. Their mobos are good though. MSI does the same thing too but to a lesser extent (290X Gaming sucked too), so watch out when you want to buy a GPU from them too.

Guys, little help please. I'm looking through all the 980 Ti models since i can't decide which one to buy and i'm not sure about one thing in this reviews and so on.

Let's say on this link: http://techreport.com/review/28685/geforce-gtx-980-ti-cards-compared/5

Under "Power consumption" part, where it says "System power consumption - Load", does that applies on the whole PC system or only GPU? For MSI GTX 980 Ti it says 360W. I'm not sure if that's for the whole system or only GPU?

Gpu.... under load it can pull some watts
Go look at the Zotac Amp Extreme! thread
For $50.00 more than vanilla stock price it beats all the 980ti niche cards
Get a 800+ power supply if your going to buy one

http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/premium-priced-ASUS-GTX-980-Ti-STRIX-DCIII-OC-certainly-does-perform

the new asus strix seems to fix their temp problems with their fans.
but zotac is still better despite asus new cooler?
Half the time the fans don't come on
That's because their cooling system is that good
You can manually set the speed anyway
