Well that all depends on the person really. Some people like to game while others like to bench the latest and greatest hardware smile.gif

If money permits I'd love to grab a second Lightning to SLI!

It's winter, and I am playing with 1506 / 7906 MHz.

My memory sucks!

So, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one a 980 ti Lightning Lite Edition I was wondering if anybody has had any experience overclocking MSI's Lite edition line of cards?
I had LE edition with 79.1% ASIC quality and Non-Le bios. Whisper quiet never OCed but boosted +1430Mhz often, ended up selling it in fleebay thinking in upgrading to a Gigabyte 1080 xtreme but the Availability it's a big downer so I pulled the trigger on a used Zotac 980ti Amp! Extreme with 69.9%Asic. right off the bat OCed to 1530Mhz core and 8020mhz mem stable loops on heaven NP at all and @50% fan @44-45c while long gaming sessionss. Right now I'm testing 1540Mhz and 8100mhz mem looping Heaven @4k and extreme tessellation. Very happy with the results so far

1540 / 8100 MHz is better than what I am getting. I managed 1502 / 8002 MHz, and got it stable. I was trying higher core clock, but it'd force me to lower memory.

I'd expect the core clock to be worth it. My 980 Ti Lightning couldn't break the 1500 MHz barrier but it came close at 1488. It had Hynix memory which wasn't even stable at 7200 MHz.
