MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning Owners Club - Page 19

post #181 of 1097
I see that 1500mhz is a safe OC on these on air and under stock voltage. Whats a safe stable memory OC that you guys have experienced? Also is the 1500mhz OC on the core or is that the boost?

I will be moving my HW to a bigger case, right now at the moment its inside a Coolermaster HAF XB and "BARELY" managed to get it inder, had to be installed in an extreme angle.

I ordered a Fractal Define R5 Blackout for potential Water Cooling on the CPU only... I'm rocking a Noctua NH-D14.

Dammit knew I should've held out for the Lightning! Well let's see if I can find a buyer for my non-Lightning MSI 980 Ti lol

Thank you very much I installed it but when I see the VDDC there şs no change about the voltage? I give 1300 but nothing change..

Could you please tell me how can you allow 1.291v to your card? I think we have to write some codes to MSI After Burner profile for example CHL8318 for

[Settings]
VDDC_Generic_Detection = 0
VDDC_CHL8318_Detection = 46h
VDDC_CHL8318_Type = 1
CaptureDefaults=0

i am not sure about writing these settings i must admit... all i did was in settings change to extended msi on the voltage control. This was just a quick test as i havernt had a chance yet to tweak more and see if i can get more out of my card.

Well I got a quote for the Waterblock from Bitspower. 5,400 Taiwan Dollars each which is $230 Australian Dollars. Seems a bit pricey for me when EK blocks here are around $160. I need 2 bocks for SLI and then shipping. All works out at pretty much $500 AUD!! Hmmmm.....

Got my hands on the Non-LE Lightning Bios and did a quick flashing before going on vacation, here are the results:

Boost with LE Bios

Boost with non-LE bios

I will try some Overclocking after I come back, thanks NSRNT for the bios!
