EVGA GTX 970 SSC Gaming ACX 2.0/2.0+/FTW+ 2.0+ Custom UEFI Firmware - Page 130

hey death angel, ive been reading through this forum alot these days. ive got a well functioning evga 970 ssc 2.0 best buy version. it works perfectly with +50 on core and +200 on memory, but i cannot exceed these values at all as it all crashes. i tried to over-volt but my voltage maxes out at 1.243 which it cannot sustain as the power limit is maxed out to only 110% and temp to 91%. now for reference my core and mem values as of now are core :1467 at boost and mem: 3705.
is there anyway you can basically remove the volt cap and power limit cap?
i use msi after burner to control my cores and mem and would like to keep it that way, just want max volts and tdp that is allowed and permitted.
my bios is attached as a zip
GM204.zip 136k .zip file

hey death angel ignore my previous message, qouting this only for the bios.
if I use the 3979kb bios from the op do I have to use AB to max out the temp and power sliders to max and set a custom fan curve or does the bios control everything.
second, are the values stated in the file name base values meaning should I move on from that in terms of further clocking my card (like we do when we of fresh out of the box)or are these max values of power, volt and core clock. right now my card is lock at 1.243 and doesn't go above that no matter what values I set in AB so after this will I be able to go till let's say 1.275 or beyond.
I know these might be noobish questions but I am fairly new to all this.
thanks.
btw my AISC is 74.7

ok not to be nagging but strange things are happening..my card is possessed ..tongue.gif

so I flash this 3979kb ROM from op..all goes well..I restart and open up AB..my power slider max is 117%..:s..isn't it supposed to be 150?..anyways I go ahead and push the voltage slider up to 50mv..but my volt stays the same..1.212 and auto boosting to 1.25..

for reference perspective my final stable figures on stock bios are core: 1506 men:4001 volt:1.243 and power:110%

now with this new bios my figures are core : 1506 men: 3800 volt:1.25 power 117%.

I know that my figures are better but my settings per throttle a lot..

with my sock bios on heaven my perfcap shows all I.e vrel vop and pwr. but with the op bios my perfcap shows nothing..some bug or something but it's all empty..on idle it shows utl but as soon as I run the benchmark the sensor shows nothing in perfcap..all blank.

what am I doing wrong here?

Perfcap should be empty during benchmarks/games.

ok..but on stock bios I constantly see these limiting factors on perfcap..any reason why it should be empty with op bios?
second, what about the temp slider max at 117 and volt not moving at all.

basically m just trying to remove the 1.243 volt limit and current tdp limit. m happy with my of and believe it'll be more stable and would stop throttling once I increase tdp and volt further. my temp are 70c on 100%rpm full load.

The op bios has fixed settings to prevent throttling. It's working as it should.

I don't know what was going wrong with the op bios for me, but going through various forums on this I found a good fix for my issue. now I am running 1531 on core with 4000 on men..tdp at 285 and volt at 1.281. it's running hot even with the 100% fan speed as I reached 82c on Hitman 2016 but I am happy as I know this game to give a you very hard run but in normal games m at 74c.
thx.
my ambient are 35c as it's very hot here.

Hey Death Angel,

OC newbie here.
I been driving my self crazy because i managed to overwrite and/or delete my stock bios and the customs bios i been messing with was not working well for me. typically the drivers would crash right out the gate when i tried to benchmark. Seems my gpu gets angry when i tried clocking 1506mhz or run 1.275v. Your experimental one you were testings with starwars battlefront, i got to work, tho i had to offset the clock by -40 to stop the artifacts from appearing when running firestrike. Guess i should just be happy with that and be thankful i didn't brick my card. I feel like i am messing something or just not sure how to read all the info for using programs like the bios tweaker. I had an easier time grasping how to OC my cpu, thought it would be the other way around.
Firestrike score

Just wanted to say thanks

So is this score on Unigen Heaven good? If it is i dont have much room to imrove :
