i did all my testing at stock memory clocks before doing that firestrike, makes no difference what speed the mem is at, 1595 core is the wall for me.

So I was able to get even 1580Mhz core but had blue / green flashes in Firestrike.
To get rid of flashes I had to go down to 1550Mhz.
While I can roll 1540Mhz on stock bios, i.e. no point to push 600W @ 1.274V for 10Mhz...

well it's not about the 10mhz difference its about the other features and stable clocks even at higher resolutions like 4K

I'm not sayin it's pointless, just I don't see use for me smile.gif got 1080p screens so no 4k and I'm tryin to push clocks for fun. I run 1500 / 2000 for daily use on stock bios.
Just curious, you had problems with stable clocks on 4k?
What other features?

What is the difference between DD and DP? I saw someone ask earlier but no one answered. ;(

It is VERY IMPORTANT to get this right. It could brick you card.

Now that I've got your attention tongue.gif here is how to make this easy.
Check out the OP under "How to flash a gigabyte BIOS".

The KEY to understanding the cards is to know that there IS NO SWITCH to activate DD or DP BIOS. Only ONE of them can be active at one time and it requires a POWER OFF to change the active BIOS.

They way the BIOS' are activated depends on the OUTPUTS you have connected.

The best way to VERIFY which BIOS you are currently using if you aren't sure and want to see it for yourself, is to extract your BIOS using GPU-z and OPEN IT with MBT. It will show you at the top what BIOS you have active. Then you know for sure.

When you flash, just make sure you didn't CHANGE MONITOR CONFIGURATIONS as that could potentially activate the other BIOS without you realizing and then the wrong BIOS could be flashed.

The way the DD or DP BIOS would be activated is through the monitor connections used. The diagrams are not always clear but I'll give you a hint wink.gif if you are using HDMI only that will be the DP BIOS.

Extract your BIOS with GPU-z and view with MBT v1.36 if you want to verify. The top line will show either D_D or D_P.

Bios V2

1-increase Voltage to 1.274v ( Real Measured and GPUz Reported ) and this is the card is max voltage
2-Make More Good Fan Profile
3-Full Performance in Direct Computing Applications and in new games that the driver don't support it yet ( like batman when it only use memory in 1650mhz not in 1750mhz coz using P2 Profile and it fixed after a driver update ) so why you need to wait update to full performance sure ?
4-Voltage Tune To Give More Stability
5-Add DD Bios Version

Hi Dante! smile.gif

Can i request a "LE" version for the V2 DP BIOS?

LE = "Light Version" tongue.gif With the ONLY difference of the Voltage at 1.25v (or 1.249-1.248v? I don't know the correct value/multiple)

If you want, obviously! Thanks in advance! cheers.gif
