my fps is teetering between 45 and 55fps and i'm in a vent basically D: I thought my gtx 1080 would have no problem with this game.

So I just started the game up and found the menu really laggy. I turned on the afterburner overlay and found my overclocked TitanX is getting 42~ fps with most things on "high" and texture quality set to very high.... mad.gif Tweaking settings didn't do much. Going to download the game ready driver for it now and see if the performance changes drastically. Right now the performance is just completely unplayable in 4K.


Edit: well, Nvidia's newest game ready drivers for the game help a ton. From 42 fps to 61 fps, same settings... Pretty crazy jump from just 1 driver version.

going from 4x msaa to OFF almost doubled my fps in the benchmark... so i guess this is how i'll play the game lol.

Most modern games including this one really need to stop including MSAA. It's worthless, since most of the aliasing is from shaders not from geometry, and it's incompatible with the game's rendering techniques which is why performance gets tanked. Everyone just use TAA. This game's TAA blurs a lot, but the in-game sharpening counteracts that. Although this sharpening is too strong actually, better off using ReShade/SweetFX. I have the strength at around 0.8, seems perfect.

Even with MSAA disabled it runs poorly with everything else maxed. 45-60 FPS on my main sig rig (2560 x 1440). I sacrificed shadows first, lowering shadow quality to High (noticeable degradation in quality) and Contact Hardening Shadows to just On (minimal visual difference). Now 55-75 FPS which is at least acceptable on its own, although when you consider that numerous much better looking games run better... as far as optimization goes this is another typical AAA console port. No bueno.

Opening tutorial mission is long and reminds me a lot of Deus Ex: The Fall, or as I like to call it The Fail because that game blows. Not that there was anything really wrong with this mission in Mankind Divided mind you, perhaps a bit too long as it might become a bit boring in future playthroughs. Eager to play more. Excellent amount of UI options, I am enjoying "Give me Deus Ex" mode with all the helpers disabled.

From the very beginning of the game I seem to be averaging 35fps on my OC'd 1080/High settings @ 4k. Worst performing game I have come across

If the visuals justified this perf I might be ok with it but I'm not seeing anything too special here... not too sure if I'll wait for the DX12 patch or just refund

Anyone using SLI should give these bits a try. 0x2C0120F5 (Overwatch)

Improved performance and usage for me.

First hub area I'm seeing 45-60fps 4K all ultra, MSAA Off.

I think the game looks pretty good. NPC armor and augs look great.

Something tells me that once the DX12 is ironed out and drivers are released by both AMD and nVIDIA... we might see the FuryX performing admirably.
