DX12 is coming in an update

DX11 performance on Nvidia cards does not look great so maybe this will be the DX12 game changer like Doom's update to the Vulcan API

480 is actually faster than 1060 on both sites and here too. So everything seems to be OK.

That post was a long time ago lol. I've long since upgraded to W10. I plan on still getting a DX12 card still though.

I've tried Vulkan a few times and it gave Me trouble so I switched back to DX. I'll be sure to test both when I can and see how things stack up.

In our graphics cards reviews, the GTX 1060 conclusively beat the RX 480 when looking at DirectX 11 titles, which Mankind Divided is until the DirectX 12 patch comes out in September. Here, we see a different picture, with the RX 480 being 10% faster than the GTX 1060 in all our tests, even at up to 20% in some cases. NVIDIA's previous-generation GTX 980 Ti is barely faster than the RX 480, which is much slower than the Fury X, even though the Fury X only has 4 GB of VRAM.

@4k, gtx 1080 @ 2050mhz

Ultra setting avg fps-27
High setting avg fps-40
Medium with Very high textures-55fps

Surprisingly on medium preset with the vh textures the game still looks alright.. main difference I have noticed vs ultra/high is with the shadows but nothing to justify the performance difference. luckily it has triple buffering so there is no screen tearing under 60fps. First mission was a lot of fun.

If DX12 can give a 10%+ boost that will help a lot - the gameplay feels quite fluid in the 50's but at 40fps its not playable imo

With a Titan XP @ 2050MHz (throttling down as low as 1750MHz in quite a few areas):

high settings overall, with Very High textures and LOD, using medium shadows: 60-63 fps average with dips to low 50s.
Shadows are the biggest performance hit.

Maybe AMD paid for the integrated benchmark I dunno but real gaming results are really different so I don't think this is OK.
