[Guru3D] Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Gets DX12 and a Benchmark says AMD (Updated) - Page 31

DX12 patch isn't due until Sept 5th. So any reviews thus far are irrelevant.

but clearly forgot 1060 AIB exist, and those would most certainly be able to hold 30 min fps unlike 480 which can't do that even on 5960x (CPU bottleneck on 5960x confused.gif is a $1000 cpu not good enough for your $200 card who-let-rip-smiley.png)
those fps on the whole amd lineup are absolutely horrid, wonder what sort of performance we would see on a mainstream CPU like Haswell i5, down to single digit min fps on amd ?

That's something that I can agree with. Wonder what happens to their promise of affordable VR for everyone

Well, 1060 FE boosts quite high anyways. Performance difference between reference 480 and AIB one is much bigger.

Also, it's probably about core speed, so I would guess an i5 wouldn't be too bad.

But DX12 is not far away anyways....

well they said everyone would be able to play it, not that it would be a good experience.

still, I'm inclined towards saying that 5960x should be enough for amd cards not to drops into 20s, and finding an excuse in the game not being dx12 is sorta lame

I'd need to keep a bucket and cloth handy for an extreme gaming session. Don't want to have to go to toilet to throw up.

think what all this purging would do for your body tho. you'd be like a young Adonis after finishing a game with expansion.

I'd be size 0 and be on America's Next Top Model. I'm sure it would get gaming more attention from the media

No its not.

MSI RX 480 Gaming X @ 1370/2250 did improve 12.2% over RX 480 reference.

MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X @ 2139/2435 improved 18.2% over GTX 1060 reference.

Even though the GTX 1060 sometimes boosts to ~1900MHz out of the box you can still get at least an extra 200MHz out of it therefore making it a better overclocker than an AMD RX 480.

Custom 480 vs Reference / Founders 1060, and even then, the minimum fps is higher on 1060.. Looks at AMD's minimums in general.. Meh..

OC3D.net tested 1060 vs 480, both custom, and 1060 won most games comfortably. Also less watt usage and heat output = Less noisy.

1060 also scales better with OC. It's close to 980 Ti reference when fully clocked.

Not impressed by RX 480 tbh.. Looking forward to Vega tho. Might pick up a Vega if it's any good.
