Carrizo FX-8800P, A10-8700P Info and Optimizations - Page 9

All of the laptops restricted to "15W" should be able to boost for 200 seconds, up to 25W TDP.
Once the time has expired the TDP limit becomes 18W.

This is the default configuration of all current Carrizo parts, and there is no indication that any of the ODMs have altered these settings from their defaults.

I don't think there's a point of getting carrizo unless you care about graphics... i5-6200u will destroy it for sure since the previous generation already does

They did show some videos of fx8800p vs i5-5200u both 15w playing CS:Go, with fx8800p being largely ahead..

Don't know for other games though.

There are several i5-5257U systems which are price in the same range as Carrizo.
5257U has the same GPU configuration as Iris Pro (HD 6100), however it doesn´t have the L4 cache.

@the Stilt what about a tool that can lock the cpu clock speed to a certain frequency to...lets say 2GHz?
Guys does any one have a backup of amdmsrtweaker?

Logiotek uses a modified version of AMDmsrtweaker on his Kaveri laptop... I don't think it works for Carrizo. The Stilt said he's concerned unlocking too much on the 15w Carrizo laptops because they don't have enough thermal capacity to run unrestricted and he's doesn't want people to overheat their systems.

A thousand euros is not bad but the full specs aren't listed yet so I'll be patient.

Wow, it was announced at 950 USD... Hopefully that one is loaded for 1K Euros, unless that price includes VAT?
