The photo was taken from UHD550 using a mobile phone. You can confirm it by yourself if you can take a close-up photo.

Thanks!

Earlier today I purchased this wall mount from my local Menards for $9.99. I just finished mounting the monitor and I have to say this is awesome! thumb.gif

Now my eyes are 38" from the monitor and I can even see more of the screen and less parallax (hiding edges). The monitor is tilted 15 degrees forward as well. I would have to say that this is the perfect distance from the monitor.

For those of you that are questioning this $9.99 mount; it's very sturdy. The anchors are drilled 10mm into the studs with thick screws (all provided). Prior to mounting the monitor, I pulled and hung on the mount. This baby is not going anywhere!thumb.gif

I’m so tempted to buying Perfect Pixel WASABI MANGO UHD550 REAL 4K HDMI 2.0 from accessorieswhole or green-sum:

However, this article makes me wonder how risky it is:

I'm reading through posts on 4K Wasabi Mango and Crossover monitors and find so mixed, ambiguous reviews.

To be honest, I'm not a gamer. I don't play games or watch movies at all. I just need a large, my shortsighted eyes friendly 4K monitor for reading text: scientific papers, articles, ebooks etc.

What would you people suggest: take a risk and buy Perfect Pixel WASABI MANGO UHD550 REAL 4K HDMI 2.0 or wait for now and buy Philips BDM4065UC 40" for a temporary use until Korean monitors become more reliable?

If you don't need a big desktop, Philips 40" is not bad too. If you're going to buy UHD550, ask them to check the production date. It should be after September at least.

I bought this monitor for the same purpose as you and it was not a bad choice in my case. DPI scaling is necessary if you buy 40" monitor though.

The following is a graphic card list which supports 4K 60Hz. I'm using HD7850 with DP cable.

Has someone seen what the input lag is for this?

I see according to the OP, it matches the crossover 434k and the Dell 27in, but what is the total lag on those? Haven't seen anything for those comparisons.

How long is the DP cable that is included?

I have a Qnix and an old LG on my desk, so looking for something to stick on the wall next to my computer and use for couch gaming. Anything about this monitor that would impede that? How is the 1080p upscaling? Would have my computer connected to it, but if I were to connect a console, would it look somewhat decent?

Thanks! I really appreciate any help!

I am not too sure on the total lag. Is there a test to run to find out for you?

Since my monitor is mounted on the wall behind my U-Shape desk it's a little hard for me to get an exact measurement. However, what I could measure and then guesstimate, I am coming up with 5 ft. I believe @sheppaul might be able to provide an exact measurement as his is easier to access.

I don't see any issues with connecting your console to this for gaming. With that said, I have not personally connected my console so I cannot give feedback. Let me see about connecting my PS4 to the monitor and I will report back with some pictures.

Welcome! biggrin.gif This beauty has been here for a few months! However, the thread is fairly new. Let us know if you pick up one. I think you would be happy with this! thumb.gif

Thank-You. Unfortunately I won't be able to pull the trigger on it for atleast a month. But, I don't think anything 4K TV out there will match this monitor when it comes to performance for gaming. So chances I'll change my mind are slim. Plus that unboxing video of yours puts in perspective how big it is. Like I mentioned I've known about the 42" model and would like that one if I was gonna have it on my pc desk. But I won't lie my couch is too comfortable and if rather game in my living room than at my pc desk. :-D

The bundled DP/HDMI cable is 1.5m. I think you won't get any trouble related to input lag with this monitor. I know many people using this monitor but never heard about the issues of input lag. The scaling feature is pretty basic as this is designed as a monitor but it's not that bad.
