Like I mentioned I've known about the 42" model and would like that one if I was gonna have it on my pc desk. But I won't lie my couch is too comfortable and if rather game in my living room than at my pc desk. :-D

You are absolutely right; the input lag on a TV really kills it for PC gaming. Plus keep in mind, there is no DP 1.2 port on TVs. Now, unless you are thinking about buying an OLED 4K TV, then it might be better! thumb.gif

After you receive the monitor I would like to see a picture of your setup! To be honest, I love my U-Shape desk too much to give it up! haha. Next year I will take on a project of building my own customized computer desk. wink.gif

Funny you should mention that because it was a review for an oled tv that sparked my interest for looking into a large 4K tv. But once I saw the prices my jaw slapped off the floor. So I found this guide for the best TVs for a monitor guide. And a few members pointed out the best ones, but also noted the lack of 4:4:4 chroma and very high input lag compared to a monitor. Luckily someone mentioned the Wasabi Mango 42". So that's how I came across this thread. And boy am I happy about that.

No worries I'll bring my experience and setup once I get it. Reason I want to get away from my desk is because it's a 5 year old glass pc desk. And anything too big won't fit. I have one of those really comfy mesh chair, but come on now. Couches are made for comfort. tongue.gif

If I had a more professional desk like you had I"d reconsider. Mines just to small a cluttered.

There is supposedly a 60 in and a 65 in coming down the pipes from Wasabi Mango.

That's exciting! If those are out by the time I'm ready to buy I'll definitely consider the 65". I won't be too heart broken if it isn't though. 55" is definitely big enough over the 42" model. Which I believe is more of a man cave sized monitor. thumb.gif

@LunaticWolf @Terreos - THe UHD600 and UHD650 are already available.

UHD600 3D Product Page

UHD600 non 3D Product Page

UHD650 Product Page

The UHD650 has serious issues with mouse lag. This makes it not suitable for a monitor. The other thing to keep in mind, both the 60" and 65" do not support Freesync. Supposedly the 60" non-3D version supports FreeSync, however, there are no reports to confirm it.

Lastly, the monitors are only available in the Korean market. Non of the U.S. re-sellers for Wasabi Mango have either version available for sale.

Please don't take what I am about to say as the "WORD"! Just giving my opinion!

FWIW - From other 55" monitor reviews I've read, this is the ideal size for PC gaming. In my opinion, I think any larger than 55" will make it hard to read websites and documents, without scaling them (which I don't like the look of scaled text). Plus keep in mind the "optimal" viewing distance for 4K to really shine over 1080P. The larger the screen, the further back the minimal viewing distance is. On the other hand, 60-65" may work perfect for you. I don't want to discourage you, just providing information and my opinion! biggrin.gif

How dare you be on top of things like this?!

If they have mouse lag issues I'll go with the uhd550 then. Based on that chart the ten feet I'll be sitting away should be within tolerance. Not sure it text will be hard to read of not. So I'll have to report back with guys once I know.

Registered because my whole day is ruined! Are you 100% positive the bigger models don't support freesync? I was specifically waiting for the 65 inch model. I mean I would prefer bigger, but I'm happy just to get freesync in a big display. It would be a huge bummer if 55 inches is the largest.

Is anyone else making big displays that will be out later? So far Wasabi mango seems to have the largest. I need a big 4k freesync monitor. As big as possible lol. My projector and HDTV are great for gaming but I need to take it one step further haha

Not exactly sure how 3D would work with freesync

No you never mentioned 3D directly, but if you read the product page for the 65" it's a 3D monitor. That's why @LunaticWolf made the comment about 3D working with freesync. That's the main reason why FreeSync is not compatible with the monitors over 55". In addition, the mouse lag on the monitor makes it not suitable for PC gaming.

As of right now, Wasabi Mango is the only manufacture with monitors above 49". Furthermore, as stated above the 60" and 65" are only available in Korea.

Edit: the reason why FreeSync works on the 55", is because the 3D is passive.
