Try calling Samsung US. From what i've read online, Samsung Canada doesn't support SSDs. I can't find anything to do with SSD on Samsung Canada's website. A few threads from Canadian forums said to call Samsung US as they cover SSDs for all of North America.

Power off the laptop, pull the ssd, connect these adapters from the laptop to the ssd, then now you can leave the ssd plugged in and you be able to pull the power. My guess this is the cheapest route.

These even might not work, I am just throwing ideas out there for ya.

The SSD just needs to be unpowered for 10-15 seconds. doesn't matter how you do it internally. Removing it from the laptop works just fine.

Same number for US and Canada. Regardless, your 15 second tip did the trick. I was hesitant to try disconnecting it again after it didn't work the first time, but that wasn't for as long as you suggested. You rock. Thanks so much.
