Zowie EC1-A - Page 3

I think it's just the Zowie EC1-A itself. The DPI difference isn't enough to justify this odd feeling. I've bumped up the sens from 1.9 to 2.0 - 2.1 ingame, which would compensate for the slight DPI difference, and still didn't feel any better.

I was told after posting these results somewhere else, that I should RMA this mouse asap:

it's fine. the green lines are normal... it's because the cursor is going against the screen edge

I thought it was normal, I was swiping left to right and right to left at a medium~ speed, someone else had told me to do that and if green/red, means my mouse is defective. I'm starting to adjust to it a bit, but I did notice "pixel-skipping", micro-movements didn't seem to register..

edit: Is there a optimal DPI for the Zowie EC1-A? Example: Will 800dpi track better and help prevent pixel-skipping?

that someone is completely wrong. mousemovementrecorder compares mouse motion to cursor motion (i.e. windows cursor). if they don't match you'll see red/green lines, but that does not tell you anything at all about whether the mouse has an issue. reasons for a mismatch are pointer accel, hitting the edge of the screen, games which recenter the cursor to screen center every frame, etc...

for 3310, any dpi is fine

At 400 dpi + Default LOD, I felt a lot of pixel skipping, tiny movements didn't seem to register and what not. That's what ultimately led me to thinking it was defective, but @ 800 dpi + 'Original LOD' it feels a lot better.

Does using the Native DPI, or a higher DPI in general, help with pixel skipping?

:thumb:1600 or lower is best. sometimes there's smoothing and interp on alternate dpi's. are u sure ur windows settings are good, also it shows green if u bump ur borders. and sensor position affects how much u gotta turn ur mouse

My Windows is 6/11 (Default) & Enhance Pointer Precision OFF. I use m_rawinput "1" in CS:GO. Am I missing anything?

edit: I read somewhere on here once before, that setting my Sensitivity In-Game to "1", than adjusting DPI accordingly is the best way to have a true 1:1 feeling. I'm pretty sure it was on this forum. I use 1.9 sensitivity @ 400 dpi ~ 1000Hz, so 1 sensitivity @ 800 dpi would be doable (5% Increase).
