edit: I read somewhere on here once before, that setting my Sensitivity In-Game to "1", than adjusting DPI accordingly is the best way to have a true 1:1 feeling.

theoretically it might be possible to get better response by setting your sensitivity to an integer and setting your pitch/yaw to a binary fraction like 0.0234375

but the difference is absolutely negligible because the error is so incredibly small

Thanks for clarifying, here's the post that I was referring to: http://www.overclock.net/t/1536056/zowie-releases-ec1-a-and-ec2-a/270_30#post_23451190

He's right but it only applies to 2D games like SC

He goes out of his way to say that for 3D games it doesn't matter whether you use DPI or settings to change the sensitivity

I guess this is from your EC1-A? It looks decent in the two small screenshots, in the larger screenshot I guess you're moving the mouse a little slower or it's near where you stopped testing? If so the only thing that looks off to me is that it produces more than 1000Hz when moved at maxed speed, which isn't a reason for an RMA. It should only be near the max when moving it at it's fastest really.

Every change of mousepad or mouse I have to wait to get used to it again and to find the sweet spot for sensitivity, it's a pain but it's the cost of changing your mouse, mousepad or feet. Bear in mind the EC1-A has very low jitter too, and if these polling rate tests are anything to go by, it seems to be a very good polling rate, if a little odd. I'd be looking to lower the sensitivity a bit but that would be coming from an FK1, 10cpi isn't much of a difference but it'll hurt your 'right sensitivity' setting a fair bit.

Does Zowie mouses have "smoothing" ? Someone told me that they do. So I just hope that isn't the case. I own Zowie EC1-A/EC2-A and I've just ordered ZA12, so I really hope I didn't make another bad decision by buying ZA12.

It's not completely jitterless looking at the stats on it, so chances are no. I hope not as well or my next choice of mouse has gone out the window. What was wrong with your EC1-A?

The problem with my EC1-A is the shape of it. The arch is too much in the middle, so I can't palm the mouse even properly. ZA has the arch more to the back/butt side so I should be able to palm it much better. As for my EC2-A it was just a little too small. If EC2-A would have been like 123-125mm instead of 120mm it would have been probably perfect in terms of size. And yeah if there's smoothing... I will be totally screwed up, unless Mionix Castor (which I will probably get in 1-2 weeks once the local store has them in stock again) will save me.

There's also one other thing that bothers me about EC-A series. That would be the side grip. Everytime I grab the mouse it will slide off my hands unless I have a bit wet/sweaty hands. I used some sort of packaging/painters tape to get a good grip on it temporarily. but yeah sadly EC-A isn't that good of a palm mouse at least for me. As I like to have more of my palm on a mouse. I think EC-A series will be good for people who like dragging lower part of their palm against mousepad or if they're looking for an alternative for DeathAdder.

I miss the shape of SideWinder X8 mouse. The shape of that mouse was great. Sadly it is a discontinued product. frown.gif

Yeah, that might be the issue for me honestly. I'm very sensitive to change, my friend swore that people cannot feel the difference between 500Hz and 1000Hz on my DA 2013, but it's plain as daily to feel the difference for me. I'm using the EC1-A @ 800dpi and it feels like that fixed the pixel skipping. I also ordered the Zowie Speedy SKatez since they have a lot less friction, and I was noticing micro movements felt like the mouse didn't move as well.
