EVGA 980 Ti Classified dead?

Thread Starter
Ive only had this card for a couple days and i rearranged how i had the two 8 pins connected and now it wont turn on. No lights, no fans, windows doesn't detect anything.

This is how it was plugged in when it was initially working. I took one of those out and just used one cable from the psu cause it splits into two and it just killed it. Was that wrong to do? Help is greatly appreciated.

PSU - NZXT Hale82-n 750w
Mobo - Asrock OC Formula z77
CPU - 3770k

Have you tried switching it back? No luck? I can't imagine that would've ruined the card...

Not sure what your PSU rail layout is, but it might not be able to generate enough power when the card is on the same rail.

I'm sure someone will be along with more knowledge, but that's my shot in the dark.

You tried using the cpu 8 pin cable on it? frown.gif Sounds dead if you can't get a signal from it. I was lucky mine didn't burn when i tried different psu cables like a moron, psu protection kicked in a saved me.
