Far from dissapointed. Just at the limit of ambient cooling. And knew that buying into it.........
See what I purchased in my sig? Only did that with pure intentions to LN the living unmentionables out of it. Any one else buying it for ambient use is just throwing moneys at it. However, I did most of my LN2 overclocks on 50$ mATX 760G chipsets. That's just practice lol. ( That is not meant to offend any one. After proof reading, I decided to leave it for truth, not bashing)
OverClocking is a term I find used rather loosely by a lot (I mean a LOT of ) people. Well your's will do this cause I read that and haven't experienced it. So it's an educated guess to anyone's idea of general overclock.
Let's make posts simple shall we?
Ambient Cooling on average
AIR = 0.0 - 4.6ghz
Water 4.4 - 5.0ghz (the large range due to rad count, waterblock ect.)
Below average ambient cooling
Tap to Drain 5.0 - 5.4ghz
TEC 2x cores 5.0 - 5.6ghz (-0 to -10c )
DICE x8 cores 6.0 - 6.5ghz (-45 to -75c)
LN2 x8 cores 7.0 - 7.5ghz to 7.5ghz up to WR freq valid (-174 to -185c)
**Ranges will vary with active number of cores and different people's hardware. Figures above are from personal experience more so than reading every one else's stuff. Most of that is the ambient section of overclocking. **
FX is Nasty fast though, Looking for an Intel guy to beat this PiMod at only 6500mhz ...... Oh wait they can't.....
