Amazon has it listed to release on Oct 29!
The UK is getting it first on 6 November (THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE UK GETTING PRODUCTS FIRST) then Europe, then US, so I guess that is why you have a December release date

Here we go....

Is it stated anywhere that the 512 performs better than the 256, I don't need capacity in my drives.

So as usual, higher capacity is faster in the numbers synthetically, I can't justify the price difference though, for some reason I never fill up more than around 100gb's on my drives. Real world useage, with good cooling, probably can't tell the difference.

So now that reviews are out, does anyone have a list of Z97/X99/Z170 motherboards that have M.2 slots directly connected to the CPU (like the AsRock Z97 Extreme6?) Or is this a question that should be taken to the Intel Motherboards forum?

Anandtech's 512gb sample seems to be a dud.

I used those as well with my sm951 and they did the job. You can get them on ebay for less and theyll arrive by the time this comes out.

Why are you all using the M.2 adaptor, when you can just get a thermal pad or heat sink and use it on the M.2 slot
