GTX970 GPU waterblock only?

Thread Starter
I am wondering if i can settle with a GPU block only and not a full card waterblock?
I can see the RAM doesnt have any cooling on as stock and i dont want to OC the RAM anyways so i guess that will do. But then there are the power chips or whatever they are called. I can see the current air cooling system has the profile touching them.
I got alot of these small copper memory coolers will they do?

Little heatsinks will work just fine to cool the vrm's. I would make sure they are getting a little airflow across them though.

There is a 180mm fan blowing fresh air directly into the graphic cards.

The small copper heatsinks should do fine. Advantage of a universal gpu only block is that it can be re-used for practically any graphics card in the future. smile.gif
