[AC] Hitman delayed to March 2016 - Page 4

I'm really hoping that this will be a return to form for Hitman. Absolution was a joke.

I'm a little concerned that they're using the same engine though. Sure, it looked pretty good, but it had some major CPU bottleneck issues even in Absolution's tiny maps. How will it cope with huge complex maps with tons of AI?

I wish more companies did this. Rockstar delayed GTAV for PC multiple times and it was definitely the right call. When it finally did release it, it ran great on pretty much all machines that met the minimum specs(which were super generous) and there was zero scrambling to patch things first week/month like we see with so many games. Companies that do the opposite are really shooting themselves in the foot because they lose brand loyalty. Remember Assasins Creed Unity? Remember Battlefield 4? Remember The Master Chief Collection? Totally unacceptable and borderline cheating your customer out of a complete product. I remember the good old days when companies had to release a complete product (at least on consoles) because there was no such thing as a day one patch because consoles didn't have ethernet ports. And if they did release a broken game that was it....you just lost your fan base.

Um no thanks. I don't want to wait over a year for every single game after the console release, avoiding spoilers for every single game would be like try to dodge the rain. Only a couple franchises can even pull that off and GTA is being one of them.
I want a working product on the same day as consoles.

Sure that example I used happened to be a console to PC port but what I was trying to emphasize was that its better to wait for a finished or more complete product. I guess my point was that I just wish companies did what they're doing with Hitman if the game isn't up to snuff yet. This new tony hawk game is a prime example....
