Just bought a QNIX QX2710 and have some questions

Thread Starter
So I just hooked up my monitor and upon booting my computer up, my jaw dropped due to how beautiful this display is (coming from a 22" 1080p TN asus monitor). After tinkering around, I decide to test this guy out and open CS: GO; The only game I really play.

My current setup is:
CPU - i5 2500k
GPU - GTX 460 1GB

I knew that my setup is weak for a 1440p display, but I was being a bit optimistic in thinking it could handle at least CS: GO, which isn't too demanding, but at 2560x1440 with medium settings, frames are around 35-40ish. I then go and change the ratio to 4:3 with a 1920x1440p resolution still on medium settings, and frames are up to 85-90ish which still isn't as good as it was when I was running a 1080p monitor (120 fps).

Anyways, a friend of mine is selling a GTX 670 2GB for $80 which is a pretty good deal, but I also heard that CS GO is a more CPU demanding game with than GPU. Is there anyway of going about what CS: GO is actually sucking up more? A CPU and GPU monitor of some sort while I'm running the game? I feel like my i5 should be more than enough to run CS at 1440p.

Your i5 is fine for CS:GO, maybe OC it a little if it's suitable for you. The 670 will definitely make a great performance increase smile.gif
