Ok, so Ive been using Roccat Kone XTD Optical for about a year now and its been great with 2 exceptions:

1) Its not as comfortable for me as SS Rival for casual use/browsing (I have a large hand and for casual I like palm grip with a bit of claw, for gaming its mostly claw), but still pretty good

2) The material/surface really did not stand the test of time, scraping and even peeling off where the fingers grip it. Bad stuff. You can still use it, but just from the visual condition it looks like its about time to replace.

Otherwise its perfect for me, with all the button customization software for MMO/MOBAs and an amazing wheel. But I thought that maybe there is a similar mouse with better material/surface endurance that I can get ?

Requirements:

- for a large hand, no small mice, no fingertip grip.
- 2 side buttons, very preferabbly no third thumb/aim/sniper button
- absolutely NO little extra buttons on the LMB/RMB, if there are any then I dont have enough room left for my large finger pads. This made G502 LMB unusable for me.
- An extra button in front/behind the wheel can be useful, I can remap it into something.
- A good durable wheel, not metal, the G502 wheel is awful for me.
- Tilting Wheel with remappable left/right tilting actions - not sure, I only used it in WoW and somewhat in Dota 2, but it really helped out there for extra actions. Not critical, but preferabble.
- good software with lots of options and customization (as well as automatic software profile switching - mandatory. for example Mionix software did not have this last time I checked)

I only know of two mice that fit all/most of these:

1) G502 - I tried it, didnt work out, sold it. The same would likely be for G402.
2) XTD laser & XTD Optical - well, its the option if I dont find anything else.

any others ? If we exclude the Tilting Wheel, then there are likely more options, but the surface quality/endurance and the software have to be good then.

btw, how good/bad is the sensor in the laser XTD ? Will I even notice anything if Im not an FPS pro-player ? Is there any difference in the shell between XTD & XTD Optical ?

Thanks.
