EVGA ACX 2.0 cooler vs Reference cooler

Thread Starter
Hi,
I'm switching from a GTX980 SLI reference cooler to a EVGA GTX980 Ti ACX 2.0 cooler.

How much degree should I expect in my case?
At the moment I have a 140mm fan intake and two 120mm in push pull (the one bundled with Corsair H80i GT AIO)

it's not a big airflow but my case has no room for more fans.

do you think that it will be sufficient?
should I expect 10°C more on the CPU?

You may want to get some more case fans if all you have is one 140mm intake and then 2 120mm's in push/pull for exhaust. Especially with two GPUs in SLi.

I don't know what kind of budget you have to work with, but you could go with two Kraken G10's on your GPU's with two AIO liquid coolers. You would be getting much better temps than you will get with ACX 2.0. Especially with SLi... that's just A LOT of heat in a very small area, your top card will most likely always run hotter.

Kraken's in SLi:

2 - Kraken G10's would be around $60
2- Corsair H50's would be around $100
$160 for two water cooled GPU's isn't that bad.

My case does not have the room for two AIO, in any case my concern is not the GPUs but the increased temperature on CPU.

Ahh I hear ya. The CPU should be fine, it has an AIO system that shouldn't be affected much by the GPU's heat. I would still suggest some more case fans, maybe have the 2 120mm's fans in Push/Pull on your H80i be an intake and use a different spot for exhaust just to be sure the radiator is getting as cool of air as possible.
