Actually i did not fixed totally the issue ,now this drops are just much more rear , its not so often . I had to wait 30-40min in order to see one . But they still appear,it seams drivers helped but not totally remove it. I may try bios update in next days.
@schoolofmonkey I tried many times in AIDA64 stress test , but i don`t see to get them more often , actually i don`t see them at all in stress test anymore or at least its very rear.

Did you guys saw any problems with that bug , or whatever it is ? Lagging , or slow performance , is it bad for the hardware ?
I`m wondering because if it`s not , i`ll leave it aside for now , which will be hard because it`s bugging me .

@Mr-Dark Would get frame drops in GTA V (He's running a 5820k), I personally never saw anything because I never ran my system after seeing it in AIDA64 or OCCT, The only thing that got rid of it for me was increasing CPU voltage.

Now I have a 4790k here as well, it's not technically overclock, but I've set boost clock to 4.4Ghz on all cores which does require a little more voltage over stock, and that machine isn't showing any clock drops.
Its running on a Asus Maximus VII Hero board.

We haven't worked out yet if it's bad hardware, Windows 10/software or a BIOS bug yet, but it defiantly should not be happening on stock clocks with default BIOS settings.

GTA V frame drops can be due to the virtual memory size (pagefile to small) Try increasing the page file size between 8-16gb. Not sure if the memory leak issues are fixed yet.

Don't know if you've been following what's been happening with me over at the Haswell-E thread, found out my system wasn't stable after running HWBot x265 Benchmark.
Now I got all that sorted, had to increase VCCIN to 1.900v and add a little more to my cpu offset 0.010 instead of 0.002, now it passes.

Well about an hour ago after stress testing for 3 hours I had a strange clock drop while idling, it dropped to 75Mhz, showed up in HWMonitor (been running it to catch any drops), machine didn't freeze, I was on Youtube which never stopped playing correctly.

That can't be right, especially when there's no hitching or noticeable problems when using the machine, it's so strange.

I think there is no need to increase the voltage @stock clock and stock memory 2133mhz

something strange here no idea ... for me no more testing with this junk ...i gave up rolleyes.gif

Completely agree, I'm not far off selling this and going back to my 4790k.

But the OP is having issues with a 4790k, not a X99 build, which makes it even more strange.
