AMD APU + discrete + Enduro + Windows 10 DirectX 12 problem

Hi people

I have an Enduro system: A8-5557M (8650G integrated) + RAdeon 8750M (GCN) + Windows 10 64-bit. The result is DirectX12 not recognized
Everything works perfectly, but with DX11. DXDIAG shows WDDM 1.3 and DX11.2

- Windows 10 64- bit
- DX11 fully functional
- A8-5557M (8550G) + Radeon 8750M
- 8GB RAM

I'm not looking for dual graphics support, just the discrete - I'm pretty sure it can be done.

Anyway around this? modded drivers?

It isn't. This is ATI Drivers and Overclocking Software forum. So you're in the right place.

But

The AMD Radeon HD 8750M (sometimes known as the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 8750) is a DirectX 11.1 graphics card for laptops.

So your hardware does not support DX12.

The 8750M is based on the Mars Pro GCN part and therefore should support DX12. Also, specifically stated here. The problem is with Enduro and the integrated 8550G pre-GCN part

Seems like an error in the page. People are getting DX12 with 8750M when it's coupled with Intel CPU:

8750M is a GCN part, maybe GCN 1.1, no sense it can't do DX12

If it can, is there something that can be done about it?

Point to the error please... because i cannot see it? The picture you posted does not help either to support your claim.

The error is the the parameter of DirectX version support of 11.2 or 11.3

I don't understand why you are so sure about this?
- It is a GCN part, as others
- It is stated by AMD that the 8700M GPUs are DX12 capable
- And the picture I linked to shows that DXDIAG recognizes the Radeon 8750M and it supports WDDM 2.0, which means it supports DX12 more or less

If you want it in other words - given that the 8750M can run DX12 stuff, is there anything you know of that can solve this problem?

I'm only refuting your claims, supported by an official AMD hardware specification page, that's all.

You're the one claiming to be sure about DX12 compatibility for your Radeon 8750M.

Not that i care at all, by the way ... so i'm leaving this discussion now.

But this page might be old, unlike the specifications that were published by AMD just a month or two ago. And I really don't understand your approach to me.

That page i guess is more or less the same age as the card itself, so why would it not be accurate?

What they published on the page you linked to is hardly to be considered 'specifications'.
The page just says "DirectX 12-Ready AMD Components", and then a list.

So, you expect full DX12?

I remember a few years ago, you had TV's that were "HD-ready" and those that were "Full-HD" next to each other in the same shop. Not the same thing though...
