[EuroGamer] Sony: climate "not healthy" for PlayStation Vita successor - Page 7

AAA games did not work on the vita. The space was too small for their size. The memory options available were both overpriced and too small. Without an easy option to switch between cards the vita didn't give itself much of a chance at anything. None of this has anything to do with phone competition.

Actually, I'm thinking greed probably killed it more than anything else. They could have offered larger sizes with rock bottom memory prices and made it easier to keep the home screen apps sorted when switching between cards. Keeping the memory cost low means I could have actually brought more games for the vita. I can't speak for anyone else but I really wanted to play more games with it. Overall I really enjoyed the vita so it is sad for me to see it dying as a result of greed.

I have a gen 2 vita and I love it for the cheap game sales that they have. I haven't been to crazy about the indie games, but the JRPGs have been keeping me busy for quite a while alongside the PS classic games. I bet if they used a SD card standard, it would've gone about much better. The only AAA games I have for it is AC3 and Uncharted. Heck, I originally bought the vita to play those two games, but I ended up also buying out the Final Fantasy series and JRPGs. I know that number of decent games will never compare to the 3DS, which I only have to play Pokémon.

The vita was the perfect evolution from the PSP, but sadly... it never took off.
