Oldish computer video output stopped, any help appreciated

So the issue is with the rig in my signature - I've had it for maybe 4 years now, so it's starting to get on a bit. Anyway, when I try to turn it on, the fans and such all come on and all of the motherboard LEDs light up, but the screen doesn't receive any kind of input. There are also no beeps. I've tried removing the graphics card and switching to the motherboard graphics, but the same issue persists. It's not something I've come across before, so any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try resetting BIOS (clear CMOS). Sometimes when you install discreet GPU, the BIOS is "stuck" on that and doesn't revert to onboard graphics unless you reset it. If after BIOS reset, you still can't use the onboard graphics and assuming your cables aren't damaged, then the motherboard becomes the prime suspect, especially since it doesn't beep. Of course there is always the chance your monitor died. But unless you have spares, you can't be 100% certain.

I have an old VGA monitor the I used to use as a second monitor that I've also tried with the onboard graphics, to no avail. I've tried resetting the cmos using the jumper pins, also to no effect. Is it worth replacing the CMOS battery, or would that be a waste of time?

Might as well give it a shot, I mean it's only a $2 battery.

It does sound like the mobo is toast though.

Try removing the battery too (after disconnecting the PSU from the mains). Also try reseating the CPU and cooler and booting with 1 RAM stick only (swap them too). If nothing works, i 'd say it's the motherboard. Which shouldn't come as a surprise really, since it's MSI AM3 with high TDP CPU:
