Strange Growth on my Evo Block? Algae?

Thread Starter

I was doing a 3 month cleaning on my system and noticed this strange growth after taking off the jet plate. Seems like some sort of algae growth.

I also noticed little "worm-like" particles in the water. Not sure what this is, I am using Distilled Water + Daz Mode Protector: https://www.dazmode.com/store/product/dazmode_protector/

I've cleaned my rad before initial setup and this is the first cleaning of the system.

Guessing I should try Kill coil in the loop?

Looks like plasticizer gunk to me rather then algae.

Using EK-Tube ZMT Black tubing. No dyes either.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Like Bit-reaper said, it is plasticizer, and it is pretty common to see in waterblock fins. Plasticizer can be many different colors.

The EK ZMT tube has almost no plastilizer in it so in this case i´d recommend to try another stuff like innovatek protect or something from alphacool

Hey everyone, quick update. Cleaned/Flushed my loop and got these two items:

KILLGAUZE 99.9% Pure Silver Wire Mesh 0.115mm - Killcoil in a mesh
Feser Base - Corrosion Blocker & Biocide

I've also added a filter to the pump (pretty coarse but should catch large particles).
