It will be a neat card, but an irrelevant one.

No way this is a Titan X, and I seriously doubt even a 980Ti. nVidia has never bothered doing the Ti's on a dual card, I don't see why they'd start now.

Nvidia has never bothered putting a full blown desktop gpu on a laptop, i don't see why they would start now.

It's funny that people think it would be a waste to purchase a dual 980 or 980ti card because Pascal is "right around the corner." Do we really need to do this every time a dual card is launched or news about one being launched is released? A ton of people will buy it. They will use it until Pascal launch and maybe even until a high end GPU like the ti version of Pascal is released. Then, they will sell it on OCN/Ebay, etc. and make back a chunk of their money and basically pay X for an upgrade.

It's like every other hobby. Do a lot of people "need" to water cool their PC's? No. I don't think that's a waste of money. Do you pay $200 to go to a sporting event for 3 hours? Is that a waste of money?

Dual GPU offerings historically always come out at the arse end of a product life cycle. It's not really targeting people who have bought into GM200 already. Still interested to see the performance. I don't imagine the promise of people running two of these will spur NVIDIA to improve SLI performance past two cards.

OT: How's that intel 750 you have? I am going to pick one up Tomorrow and put a fresh install for benching, so if and when I crash, my Windows install doesn't become corrupted. my games drive are already fast as can get..by the way, we have same mobo, what bios do I need?

Where the first one is not most probably Pascal but this dual Titan X joke.

Not that I'm condoning this but, your kidney sells for about $10k on the black market so, for the price of your kidney, you could literally actually have 4 of these...No other body parts required.

Just sayin.

Yes, it's pretty late in the lifecycle to buy in to a new design now, but I can see this being relevant for small form factors that don't have room for multi-card SLI or hardcore enthusiasts for quad-SLI in two slots. Other than that, I've never seen the appeal of dual-gpu cards -- it's just "SLI-on-a-stick".
