Windows 8 - All icons are white?

I cannot open most icons on my desktop and, for some reason, the icons are all white blank pages now. I tried to run Malwarebytes to see if it was a virus and it will not even let me run that. What could be wrong?

I doubt that there is a virus, but you probally installed program that caused a conflict with the IconCache.db which causes the icons to go blank or loose the picture. Its a pretty basic fix.
